I really think the benefit is going from 20 year old dirty injectors to new ones. It's not because they have more holes. If I replace mine, that is why.

There’s an even bigger one, but said for boats and atvs, not sure if it’s the same formula.

They do nothing. The only time you mess with spark is if you need more under higher cylinder pressures.
As for 12hole. My truck runs better with them. No gains noticed. Mpg did improve a bit. But remember 200k mile injectors vs free injectors I got and had cleaned. Just cleaning stocks may make them just as good.

Seafoam and Techron performed well in an unrelated application in this video. One of my favorite YouTube channels for good reviews. would love to see a fuel injector cleaning comparison.

I'm actually partial to Seafoam these days, but I still have a case of Techron to blow through.

I'll say it again: One of my favorite channels.

I've got a lot of caramelization/lacquer I found in my heads while doing the vc gaskets. I think I may take the intake straw/hose kit and douse the heads a week or three before my next OC and see if it clears out, then Liquimoly everything after.

That farm guy is awesome, fast talker which is so refreshing. Brass tax and none of this, "me, my, I". Straight to the point. But you guys that polish the insides of your valve covers are next level. I guess I would do the same if I had them off, to a point.

I was going to suggest same as shifty. Mine did almost the exact same thing minus the water part. Got longer sway bar links. Mine were bent and bushing ruined on driver side.

I've got a few cool noises I can't isolate. but; sway bar, skid plates are some offenders when nothing else is wrong. Maybe steering rack. Obviously there could be a shit ton of reasons, but don't ignore something as simple as a sway bar link.

Appreciate it. Gives me a reason to get a new 18' open carhauler to go with the 20' enclosed. Wouldnt have wanted to being the little open trailer and not had enough space after all...

I think I've got two sets of O-rings for the 2uz from rock auto that I haven't used. Want one?

Do you have the o rings and the thicker rubber grommet that seals the intake side?

Yea ive been looking at possibly getting some land or a small place on a couple acres up in oregon. But like you, ill be avoiding Portland area at all costs. Ill be going eastern as well like you. Maybe near Bend, or Prineville as been appealing to me too. Keep us up to date on how it goes, im living vicariously through you at this point, haha.

You'll get there bro. Good juju is on your side. You're a few years ahead of us, I can't wait 'til we can finally sell, take the money and run. There are certain things I'll miss but it damn sure won't be the people, the noise, or the traffic.

Oh there was no polishing the insides. Maybe you missed how crusty my shit was: https://www.tundras.com/threads/wha...-gen-tundra-today.2558/page-1297#post-2692222

I spent more time scraping them clean, not time to polish. I was literally pulling chunks the size of sand spurs out of the gap in the interior baffle. Now I get the joy of trying to de-varnish the heads while they're still on the truck. It'll take a couple of years, short OC interval, with treatments before/after OC.

The 1st owner of my truck was a short-trip king, and always got one specific Jiffy Lube shop in town, I'm questioning whether or not they actually changed the oil or not, or were potentially recycling in-house.

In hindsight, with these trucks, it seems like it's better to find one that's got a good 125-150k miles with longer trip action. Next go-round, I'd also pop the oil fil cap and peek inside to look at the valvetrain for varnish.

Starting to see more reasonable gas prices here. I filled up in middle TN for $3.25. We are still getting hosed in the bigger cities. $3.70. I can't find any evidence we have different gas taxes by county and gas prices have always been fairly consistent across the state. Furthers my belief that gas stations are just taking advantage of the situation.

Hoping to see gas below $3.00 in the next few weeks.

Edit- I meant to post this in the lunch table thread.

Starting to go down here too, $4.85. I don't plan on driving the truck again really until my river trip next month, so gonna wait til' then to fill up.

sounded like you should alternate between them. One cleans better higher, one cleaned better lower. So alternate for the win.

Bend has its own portlandy issues. Prineville is pretty cool though, good people.

We are about 45 minutes outside Baker City (East East OR). Its where ive done almost all my recreation since leaving San Diego so we figured it was the place to be. Open invite to come visit- endlesa public land minutes outside the door. The commute to the boat ramp is a killer though...

Took it out for a spin to get some miles on the clock today. Found myself behind a sweet J60 while dropping off a shipment. I prefer J100 & J80 more, but it was nice!

Rear driver tire is low again, consistently holding around 21-22psi. Don't see anything visible in the tire. Guess I'll be taking soapy water to it this weekend.
