Some pictures from the trip: This went up to 11,000 feet which was pretty amazing, but the trail got pretty narrow and loose rock and in some parts was just a cliff 2 feet over. Kinda sketchy! This was the white mountains near Bishop CA. IMG_20220730_193745410.jpg IMG_20220801_175045315_HDR.jpg IMG_20220731_055232153.jpg

Is it possible it was happening while flexing on one side, only? Maybe bushings on the sway bar links are blown? Take some pics of the front suspension on both sides and show 'em to us.

That's probably about the only way I'd bother. I think the boast about benefits is probably exceeding reality. I'd believe it after seeing some dyno results where the only difference on a 4WD 4.7L was the injectors being swapped.

I think somebody on the ih8mud forums did something similar. Pretty sure this was it- https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/12-hole-injector-upgrade-finally-tested.1192988/

If your current injectors are not functioning well, I imagine these will feel and perform better. Without some sort of tune, the computer will just keep doing the same shit it was doing with a well functioning set of factory ones. Change my mind.

    Thanks for this.

I'll save y'all a view: No obvious gain, possibly a small loss with 12-hole at WOT versus the OEM 4-hole.

But it was with a Denso 12 hole, so not apples-to-apples with DD's product, obviously. And I don't like that they didn't use brand new injectors for both.

Tag @Tundra2 before you spend your hard-earned cash.

Didn't DD say that his are remanned densos somewhere? I think they even say denso on the injectors in the pic on his site.

If I can find a place to source new o rings and seals, I’d be interested in getting my oems cleaned and tested or whatever, and slapping them back in just for S&G to see if my p0420 code goes away.

Not sure. I have no doubt it's a great product. And with how little most people take care of their fuel system, I can see how it'd be a big plus to buy these to replace some 200k+ mile injectors versus cleaning. And DD may be doing other special stuff if they're reman'd, so that video may not mean jack. I know DD is a vendor and they make some really f'n awesome performance stuff, so they may very well be doing some voodoo on their 12-hole. Most of my experience with 2x or 3x hole injectors is most are a little gimmicky, unless adjustments were made for more flow, finer atomization, wider spray pattern.

It's probably worth listening from about 9m45s mark in that video as well.

What about spark plugs with a "v" electrode? That's gotta be some fuels savings and HP gain.

I’m 100% supportive of any company willing to develop and sell products for the first Gen. I know there’s not a huge audience / market for these products. Dirty Deeds is A1 from what I can tell on here and I’m sure the 12 holes are solid and perform well. I’m doubtful there’s any benefit over a well maintained factory spec set though. Just not how modern computer controlled fuel injected engines work. Replacing your factory set for poor performance? These are likely a nice option. Better MPG than stock set? Nope. Not without a tune to take advantage of whatever these offer over stock. Computer still thinks the stockers are in there.

I was looking at a set for crackie because he's got 280k~ish miles. Seemed like a quicker turn around than getting some cleaned as I think I'd have to send mine out, and don't want to be down that long....

Meh. Seems cheaper than cleaning too.

    Definitely agree.

I also know you can achieve a lot of cleaning with 1/8th tank of gas with a full bottle of Seafoam added.

I'm not against them, they're probably going to be my go to when I need a new set. Much better value for money than having mine cleaned or replacing with new ones. I'm just saying that from reading the conversation on that forum posting along with the numbers, I don't think they're any better than OEM. And there is no way these thing get 3mpg better than stock, that seems outrageous especially considering the dyno numbers. Not bashing the product, they look great for the money, just saying I really doubt that they're even 5% better than stock

Techron is an additive that has been reliably proven to dissolve carbon buildup. I buy the big bottle and add it to half a tank of gas or less with every other oil change or so.

I read one thread somewhere the guy put out a lot of scientific stuff I don't understand. He wasn't a fan of Techron.

However, I know there are shops out there that charge 180 for a fuel injector clean and dump a bottle of the stuff in there.

And I know I have cleared codes and dash lights by doing the same.
