my hatred for too many flanges means we put the flanges at the headers (obviously) and then flanges at the muffler side. so the x section includes the cats.. in our environment (granted its 304 stainless) less flanges is ideal

Hey, it could be worse. Mine is currently welded together with spare pipe. Also was mig welded with standard wire and no shielding gas so it looks terrible lol. One of these days when I have money to spend I might actually get some co2 and weld in true duals.

Nice. I tried to use a less flangis’ as possible, but wanted removable cats, so my x pipe and muffs are all one unit, it’s manageable…….

Haha. It could definitely be worse. I just cut everything behind the muffler and turned it down. But, cross pipes, stainless, gate valves, oh my!

Finally got around to getting the resis mounted in the front. Need to bleed the brakes and do an alignment.
    20220702_165640.jpg 20220702_155247.jpg

Moved onto the rear to get started on the archive garage shock relocation and hammer hangers. Got the bed off and did a decent pressure wash of the frame and bed.

    20220703_175523.jpg 20220703_180845.jpg

Removed the old hangers, opened up the rivet holes and threw a coat of black paint on the frame. Installed the extended ss brake line, removed the old leaf pack and bump stops and installed the new ones.20220703_195157.jpg 20220703_201727.jpg 20220703_210815.jpg 20220705_190649.jpg 20220706_160814.jpg 20220706_160820.jpg 20220706_160825.jpg

I still need to tighten everything up but in looking at the shackles i realized I should probably replace the bushings. So far there is already a significant increase in travel and I am excited to get it finished and put it all to use. If anyone has some recommendations for shackle bushings that would be appreciated.

Absolutely. Once I figure out what I'm doing about the shackles/shackle bushings I'll get eveything tightened up and get them trimmed. I still need to cut off the old shock mounts on the axle housing and the upper drivers side mount for the new radflos.

I've had every intention of calling him this week to ask about them because i didn't see them on the website without them being an add on to the hammer hangers. I did ask him about it when i ordered everything else and he didn't think I needed them because I'm only running a 10" shock not a 12", which I'm now starting to regret.

On a DC, flush to the nut is needed. We have diff stops and I have since shimmed mine - but I did have stud contact to the frame. So, flush baby.

I think 11" is the sweet spot. I think we are just on different sides of it.

I made 12's work by turning down the lower shock mounts. I am at the very threshold of travel on up travel with the 12" bodies. My needed to be better trimmed studs hitting the frame helped protect my shocks. I completely maxed them. 10s and 11s would have more room for error.
