The 2885's are the OME springs? I don't know - I have a different animal and use Eibach. I feel like the 5100s are a softer shock, maybe stiffer than OEM. What did you not like? Some people would hate to drive my truck.

Well, I have both. King front, Fox rear. But that's like, a shit ton of money I found. I don't even have front reservoirs. I'll be sure to shield my kids from my poor choices with money LOL

So, that's the other thing that's got me taking everything with a grain of salt. I've got an AC. The vast majority of setups I'm seeing and liking have been on DCs. 5100 + 2885 here and on TS seems to have the least extremes. We've got a couple of cases here on Tundras.com where the exact same setup generates complaints from DC owner but AC driver is totally happy or raving.

That last bit is what's been taking me so damn long.

But seriously, I'm literally open to whatever, feels free to shoot 5100/2885 out of the water and suggest other setups that'd be better knowing I'm AC/4WD.

As long as it's in the slush budget, I'm not going to premature-fail anything, not having to re-boot, new uppers, BJs, etc. and won't result in harsh af ride on the jacked ass roads here Trying to be thoughtful.

I just need my BJs and such to last long enough for me to get to phase 2.

My Daughter chose for me to buy her a 2016 Jeep Patriot 4x4 in 2019 when she graduated from HS. Its a 2.4 L High Altitute and a GAS HOG. I think she regrets the decision now. But it's getting her from A to B

    Yep. ARB OME 2885.

I said it elsewhere and I'll repeat it again: Sport suspension and lowering has traditionally been my thing, any other truck I've owned with any lift was someone else's install, with one exception. I've hovered around Koni, Belltech, and Eibach for prior stance changes, but that was for lowering.

Prices are about to come down big time on trucks and 4WD. You can't have these gas prices and not see a market shift.

I was wondering about that. I would like to know the complaints about 5100/2885 - but regardless of fitment, the DC is a different truck. Great AC springs are not necessarily great for DC and vice-versa.

I’ll take the other side of that bet. I say trucks specifically will increase in price due to demand increase and supply shortages.

I’ll state for public record that my Tacoma is worlds better since Jason did the plugs, ECGS, fox, spc and Deaver j66. And I’m talking purely street. It went from soft and bouncy house to buttah baby. I don’t regret overspending one bit.

Off topic. I see you've had the FUELLY Stat on your post but it hasn't been updated. I'd like to track my mileage and post it. Is it a chore to do so?

Well, you could be right. It is a different time and unprecedented. However, the last time gas spiked to only $5, SUVs and trucks tanked. I do think the Covid wave of printing money is over and inflation is quite real. Consumer confidence recently tanked. I'm not sure the inflation can carry over to luxuries, like fat ass trucks for much longer. I hear you on the shortages and that will play. But most of us will soon be trying to figure out how to better pay the bills. Things like boats are already in a nose dive, from what I understand.

Not at all. Works great. I still have a mostly full tank. Tundra has gone maybe 60 miles in the past 3 months? Blame Erik.

That might make me feel better, but I feel pretty good. Really, I'm just fantasizing about 30K to use. I would probably start with a salvage title and go frame up. Suspension and tires, baby!
