    Found it: https://www.tundras.com/threads/wha...-gen-tundra-today.2558/page-1153#post-2508376

But to save y'all a click, 912 basically posted this video, and I'll be damned if my truck sounds anything like this, much less feels like it has half this power when you punch it. I swore he said his was mostly stock except something in the exhaust but hell if I remember. Was there really that much power difference between the DC and AC/RC with 2UZ-FE?

Pretty much. I lost 4 or 5 packages. Maybe some mail too, hard to know. Sucks for me. Not super confident usps is going to take the guy down.

Well wish me luck while I go on an endless and probably expensive path to see if I can get my truck to drive like my Sequoia or 912's Tundra.

I would definitely like to know if the guy is local to me and observed my house or is purely attacking because of the business info which is likely public somehow.

I mean, USPS has its own dedicated police force, USPIS, if I'm not mistaken. While they do inspections and crap, they're also supposed to follow-up on criminal cases like this.

I realize they don't do a hell of a lot with porch pirates, mostly because the legwork involved to bring a case in is phenomenal, and it's simple theft. In a case like yours, where fraud and theft occurred, fraud by way of illegal submission of a federal form, I'd expect they would act on something like that, if this person has done it once, virtually a non-zero chance they've done it or are actively doing it to others. I'd push them hard on this one, personally.

FYI: USPS has a service called Informed Delivery, which allows you to see scans of all flat mail, and track packages that were coming to you. You can sign up for free here: https://informeddelivery.usps.com/box/pages/intro/start.action

You may be able to back-track on your lost mail using that?

Thanks, yeah, I know about informed delivery and credit freezing but it looks like today is the day to set that stuff up. Fun.

I have the tracking numbers on 4 of the packages. Only 2 were valuable but it’s still a yucky feeling. I just reordered two this morning and I’m at my local trying to push them to take action. But not highly confident. The supervisor here said the party line of “if it’s been delivered then there is nothing we can do”. About as expected, and I’d agree not much they can do but I’d like them to at least make the other USPS aware of this and maybe / ideally get their own people tipped off in case he comes in again today. Best way to catch someone is when they are still thinking they can get away with stuff.

All I can say is, if fraudulent forms were involved, maybe escalate it. Won't get your stuff back, but can maybe get this person's ass nailed to the wall. I assume the supervisor you spoke with is the local postmaster general. If not, you may want to make one more call out to catch them using this info. If it was the local postmaster, you may want to escalate to the OIG.

They won't. I had a similar thing happen a few years back, coincidentally while expecting my yellow box.

I lived in an apartment for over a year at the time. I would frequently get mail for the prior occupant. I talked to the post man and he wrote my name on tape and stuck it in the box to avoid that.

I went on vacation. When I got home I checked my mail (its by the front gate and my apt was far back) and found a note that my mail was placed on hold. I went to my apartment and saw a note on my door. The note was from the prior occupant saying he accidentally mailed something to my address and needs it asap.

Next day I went to the post office and found that he put my mail on a vacation hold, then came into the post office and collected it. Since his drivers license still had my address the post office obliged. I spoke with the postmaster and he said they would open a case and get things going. A month later I checked in and they said they don't do that, I should have called the police.

So contact the police, don't rely on the post master. Even if the police do nothing at least its recorded.

Well looks like Toyota OEM body mounts are a no-go. Turns out it’s one whole piece that doesn’t disassemble like the aftermarket ones. That would mean raising the whole side of the truck cab by 3” minimum to squeeze the mount in there.

    The search continues…

Doesn’t the post office require a valid drivers license or state ID to confirm it’s you to make the change in address? Most of these post offices have video cameras just cause…well you know…people go postal. Hey, maybe it’s one of the guys at the post office who knows you’re getting nice stuff. Hmmn. I smell an inside job.

Interestingly, I was almost thinking the same for a while, b/c I have a bunch of packages to Canada which last show tracking on 5/15 in LA and my poor Canadians are wondering WTF. But I think USPS has no interest in wiring harnesses :p

I have my credit frozen with all three reporting agencies. It's the way to go. If I need to unlock it for a day or a month, it takes about 10 minutes. No monthly monitoring bill and no new credit is opening in my name unless I want it.

Not that I can recall. I was surprised last two times I filled one out.

Also, when I submitted a form to DMV to update my address on my license, they sent me an email saying to write my new address on the back. Seems legit right?

No, at least not when I worked there. I had a lot of snowbirds on my route so every year about this time they would just leave the form in their mailbox as they were heading back.

In CT for address change you let DMV know so they update their compooter & in thanks they give you an official little white sticker you put on the back of the license & then write your new address on it. Most people skip the sticker part. So many people skip it that when someone gives me a CT D.L. for I.D. I ask them if the address is current - usually the answer is "OH! no."

Obviously you'll have to change your airbag cover. Perhaps its as simple as injectors clogged from a life of cheap gas? Try feeding some BG thru it.
To my recollection, everyone who has upgraded their fuel injectors commented on improved shifts.

Well you could change of address your address from that address to your address. Maybe you can get the Post Office to comp you a box for3 months? Put your mail on hold & pick up for a month or two until the scammer gives up on you & moves on?

Socially engineer where scammer is forwarding the mail. Put in a mail forwarding list from that address back to your address. Reap the profits of getting packages for everyone he's scamming, and be lauded as Robin Hood when you return them all. Then work with those people to setup forwards from your house to theirs.

Forwarding all mail back to him would - you know, be criminal on his part.

Usually with these forwarding scams it's to a house that's observed to be generally empty. Think no kids & adults that work from work dawn to dusk. The residents are usually clueless. Scammer waits for delivery, does the porch pirate thing - but they are not stealing from that address, well not stealing stuff from residents of that address. Generally they watch the address & when they see someone watching (think post office police), then they stop watching & move on. Something as simple as sitting outside the address in your car being obvious about being not obvious is enough to get the scammer to move on with new targets redirected to new addresses.

Used big red to help my parents clear out some brush and limbs. I noticed my backup camera is not working. No image on the headunit. I briefly looked at the camera and the lens looks white, maybe water damaged? Not sure. Either way, I emailed Natika to see about getting a replacement possibly. Here's hoping. It was purchased in January 2021.
