Tomorrow after work I’ll look for all the legs and tabs, and see how motivated I am after that. I know des2 had to tweak some of the hard lines a tad to fit, but it all should bolt up easily for the most part, I tried to leave decent clearance in the mounting holes to accommodate for such.

Possible, but I figured they were the same. Both have the 4 speed transmission. It’s hard to describe but hers just revs way more freely under load. Mine drives smooth it just doesn’t have that pop that hers has.

Mine are 1” larger in diameter, same width, and both SL tires. I wouldn’t have guessed that small difference would matter, but maybe that’s it.

Wheel base is also a lot different, so I assume weight would differ as well.
The sequoia on 34s made cake work of stuff I had lots of issues on(he even pulled me off rocks) mainly due to wheel base difference

I regeared and was a bat out of hell on a 32.4". 0-60 under 8 seconds. Went to a 33.8" and it drives stock-ish.

Not sure if we’ve talked about this, but think of the same thing when winching, less on your spool means more power. More wraps is the same as a bigger tire, more power needed and more stress on the motor.

Yes, when I pulled that jeep, I started at one row, the rest of the line was out there because I had endless room. That thing was mud sucked. I thought my truck was going to drag.

It would have yanked it right quick. I'm the slow is pro guy - so I gave the winch it's short resting periods and radioed steering angle, and took pictures, lol.

We were looking for a short cut, and quite sure that no one would not make it - but, hey let's find out. Regardless, if you get to winch your buddy's truck while he's standing in mud, you take your sweet time...

got one head done tonight, lapped the exhaust valves, and installed new valve stem seals. intake valves and the seat seemed good enough to not worry. exhaust had some pitting. better now.

I know about simple work that looks hard and is hard if you don't know what you are doing. Even if you know what you are doing, there is a level of care to do it right. I'm going with you are being modest.

Funny you mention this. One of the other members with a later-model DC posted a video of them accelerating - I want to say it was @alb1k but I'm probably wrong, mostly because I have this suspicion it was someone in FL like @912 which I'm pretty sure it was. Anyway, I made a comment because, basically stock, they were chirping tires when they jumped on it. I literally cannot do that in my truck, so it was wild watching him punch it on the street. And my truck supposedly has the higher 271 HP drivetrain?

I'm guessing it's a gearing difference, my truck has tow pkg and LSD but I don't recall what gears it supposedly has or if they're on-par with what that member had.

I get to deal with identity theft problems from fraudulent change of address form today. Worst part is that other jerk has my yellow box and footwell lighting. :sigh: fun times.

My truck has the tow package and as others have said I think all the Sequoias have the same gears. Only difference is 125k miles (Sequoia) and 160k miles (Tundra) and I have 1" larger tires. I had no complaints with my Tundra till buying the Sequoia. My truck drives and shifts smooth. But when you try to accelerate at a moderate to decent pace the Sequoia just winds up and goes so much smoother and quicker especially downshifting. If you're going 40 just cruising and do a quick punch to get through a yellow light it just goes, where my truck likes to think about it for a bit. Very jealous of the wife at this point.

Also for anyone considering buying one for their spouse, DO IT! I test drove some that were high mileage, no maintenance, and just plain trashed and they all drove amazing. Was glad to finally find a somewhat clean one with low miles.

Come again? Someone submitted a bogus change of address form and has been getting all your mail and packages sent to another address, so they got your truck parts?

That's federal. One would assume this should be easy for them to track down and catch the person, since their target address is on the form?

    The hell man.

Wow. Sounds like either someone doesn't like you or sees goodies they'd like to have in front of your house. I have a ex-gf who would stoop to having my deliveries sent to a crack house. I always have expensive deliveries held at a UPS or Fedex distribution point to prevent that.
