Damn, where's the jewel plug for your rear receiver? I thought you loved us, bb?

Day in the desert is unfortunately cancelled due to the electrical gremlins. Some things just aren't worth risking. Going to hopefully chase down what's wrong with the instrument cluster today.

Started the day with some leg rehab though. Disassembling CVs is a lot easier when you have a vice and snap ring pliers! Probably going to order CVJ boots for the halibut and use those. One of my inner tulips is pretty dinged up, but I think I can make a complete axle again with the one that is still on the truck. Thinking of pillaging some junkyards to get another OEM one so the cheapo axle never has to get put in service.

I have my oem cv’s still. Probably don’t need two. In case you want one? But maybe not DC material?

Timing belt day on the new to me Tundra. I'm finding previous owner must have done alot of his own maintenance. Was basically a new Toyota belt on there but no sticker or history of it being done at a shop so I went ahead and did it.

Possibly might be interested in buying one from you since it's OEM. You should definitely keep one as a spare though. CVs should be the same part number across all the different models - AC/DC/RC or Sequoia.

Yeah I figured at least one for spare. Could do 2 since 8’ bed has endless space but happy to help out if you need.

Dang, at least you've got a whole shop at your disposal, wanna share?

That TB looks squeaky clean. Actually, everything in there looks pretty clean, minus a bit of rust here and there. Nice one.

Believe I ordered it from CarParts.com. They are always out of stock. I added my email to an in stock notification. One day they sent me an email that they had one. It’s the bumper brackets, new fog lights and black bumper for $400

building right now is a joke. I have a friend who was planning to build right before C19 broke out, early 2020. Couldn't manage to get his plans in and approved when things started shutting down. Held off, went to try again recently, but with all the shortages and supply issues, along with access to labor and prices up everywhere, his $350k to build home is now a $470k to build home, to the point, they can't afford to build w/o borrowing half the money.

Anyway, depending how far north you are, if you guys are looking for a builder, gimme a ping. It's tough to find reputable ones, I know one, but he'll only go in if he's got other places within 20-30mins drive. He's usually got stuff being built in-town, Buford, Cumming, Dawsonville, IIRC?
