You bet, Over the last 4-5 years I have replaced all of my suspension and steering rack bushings (front and rear) with poly now and so far no squeaks (except one time). However, I take em apart each year and lube them with Super Lube or just replace the ones which are getting really worn and lube them.

Last year, (that one time) I got lazy and sprayed the front suspension bushings with a liquid silicone spray, big mistake, it washed out the heavier lube and I had a LOT of squeaking then. This required a disassembly and relube LOL

Try inserting it in your sunglass holder. Remove the clip. Put double sided velcro on the back of opener case and stick it to the roof portion of the sunglass case.

The shop that did my front end said all my cam bolts were seized, too. Good on ya for re-lubing every year.

    Need advice.

For a few years, I’ve had a clunk (goes ‘clunk clunk’ real fast) when turning slowly either direction as in neighborhood 90° turns (usually right but also happens going left). Sound eminating from rear corners. Confirmed by me riding in back bed and someone else driving recreating turn. For sure the noise sounds right under the spare tire area. Its not the spare as that has been eliminated as not the noise.

Doesn’t happen everytime/all the time (usually happens not always). More pronounced when turning 90° into a shopping parking lot apron going up or down slight inclines.

Thinking its my rear springs washers thingys. Here are pics of both sides rear springs rear portions and one of the washer thingys is missing. The other slipping out the side. See pics.

‘Clunk clunk’ is getting more pronounced sounding. Noise pre-dates any recent suspension work by 2-3 years. Just getting more pronounced. Washers wearing out? Need new springs? Thoughts?

Drivers side (dis-regard recently added u-bolts as I added those to prevent splaying which has happened over the past few years).

Could it be a wheel bearing? Or. Do you have a rear sway bar? It could be one of the joints on the sway bar end links. If you have one.

I do have a rear sway recently installed late 2018. Sound pre-dates sway install.

Wheel bearing(s) is a possibility. Never had a vehicle with one go bad so have no reference sound to go by. Will be having those looked at by mechanic soon.

Ahhh that’s the problem! You were using the yellow brand blades instead of the red! :D Didn’t even mean to use my own user name there lol But really, the torch metal blades are quite good :sawzall:

    Nice write-up btw

My truck does the exact same thing only notice it around neighborhoods and such. I got under the rig and started investigating and the plastic rub guards on my leaf springs are gone just like yours.

It does not happen going straight at any speed. Only slow 90° turns mostly when entering any driveway apron or incline on a slow turn. Same with yours?

Mine has the ‘off road package’, which I’ve discovered has a wedge and is the same spring used from 2001-2012 (yes 2012) ‘off road’ models (even though mine is 2002 model). Lots of variables on our 1st Gen Springs.

I don't like engaging in the "which color Tundra is fastest" (because black wins) but I do agree that yellow sawzall blades wear out the fastest. I like the red ones but the blue box are my favorite.

@Casper421 which rear shocks are those peaking out at us? Icon?

Exactly, it is only when going slow and turning 90 ish degrees like onto a side road it will “pop” from the rear end. I’ve checked ball joints, and changed shocks and that little rubber pad on the leafs is the only thing I can come up with.

The eye bushings on each end of the leafs look worn, especially the rear eyes. Grabbed the springs end and tried to forcibly move them but no go due to the weight of truck. Maybe this could be a potential bad area on the springs too.

Found some new OEM springs for $500/pair. I’ll be calling the 4wheel place soon. Thanks for your input.

Couldn't you guys just replace the bushings (48210C) and silencers (48252)? Obviously the part # may be different depending on your model.

I love the yellow led fogs. Are they half flood and half spot pattern or what? @Casper421

mine made that clunk turning right uphill, the metal sleeve inside the poly bushing in the front leaf hanger had rusted through and broken, and at that angle of ascent it would allow the leaf to clunk.

I burned through my supply of yellow dewalt blades and went and purchased the black blades which last 2x longer!!!! per the advertising, or approx 3.5 minutes before they started smoking and rounding off LOLOL I am very tempted to write Dewalt and see what they say about those black blades.
