It's a 3 step process which was pretty simple. Step 1, apply an oxidizer. Do this twice, they supply two sets of wipes for each headlight. Step 2, sand it using 2000 and 3000 grit paper which they supply with a nub/handle thing. Step 3, apply the Graphene coating. They say to let it cure for 15 mins but I let it sit overnight. It's honestly the easiest headlight restoration kit I've used and I'm assuming it's very similar to the Cerakote product which is a bit cheaper. I only went with Adam's because I know they make other good car detailing stuff and I saw a video of it. Their marketing works I guess. I've previously used your typical OTC Meguires, Mothers, etc kits where you apply coatings, wax, sand and buff with a drill, etc and never got good results with those. This took 30-45 minutes and most of that was me masking off the paint and reading the instructions. I went with their Pro kit which gives you the sand paper otherwise its just wipes. Give it a try, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

So, chasing stuff down. Rear suspension is unbelievable, so just greased that. I see why SAS is revered. I have/had some new front noise. Lame, because I have new everything up there except bearings. So I pulled some stuff. Not much, but @Darkness always reminds people about the front sway bar, so, I disconnected it. I feel like it’s a control arm or steering issue. But that stuff is new. So, I pulled oil skid plate and sway bar. First test drive and it was quiet. Hmmm.

Thanks. Went with "B". For some reason I had it in my head that you couldn't do that but think that was from some directional tires I use to have on another vehicle.

I can guarantee you around here you'd have a problem. I can barely get my AC truck through some of these drive throughs. Some of the downtown parking garages require a 10 point turn to get into and out of your spot.

I would drill a hole in the license plate to mount it and make it look less inconspicuous.

@sn_85 Gave me motivation to do my headlights, they were so yellowed you could barely see the ballast in the headlight. Very happy with the results!

I had my initial backup cam in that spot. It was wireless. It was shit. I got a better camera and installed it in the tailgate handle. That's a better spot for it IMHO.

True, but given the camera the member has, I think the plate is the only place it can go.

@savagefen is going to be in for a world of hurt if that spare tire ever needs to come down, unless the harness plugs into the back of the camera itself and is easy to separate!

Not sure if that included some sort of clear coat but plastic safe clear coat over that should make it last longer.

Cut a hole in the plate for the camera, and mount the plate on a custom rear bumper, and mount the spare in the bed. All problems solved

I have two wires through the spare tire release spot myself, right now. Tailgate lock and tailgate handle mounted camera.

The lock has a 2 position amp so I can separate it easily enough. But the camera disconnect is too short so it’s inside the tailgate.

At some point I intend to cut and crimp a 4 position waterproof connector for the camera. But I’m also tempted to do it at the current intercept and then make a custom extension through the tailgate. Same basic setup but no actual cutting, just the terminal ends. I worry a little about how delicate the wire is.

I thought about using the same route for mine, then I had to drop the tire. I didn't imagine what a royal pain in the ass it already is trying to fish through that hole with the OEM wingnuts on the factory toolset, those are required to hold the tire drop rod together. I was also surprised by how f'n impossible it is to eyeball whether or not the hook at the end is fishing into the slot, at least on my truck with OEM tow package installed. Having anything extra cluttering the holes would've made it impossible.

Completely agree. It’s on my list to deal with. Though once I have the new wheels the spare will be undersized and likely a pure emergency if the 285’s don’t fit there. My 285 spare arrived in San Carlos yesterday and awaits my pickup.

Maybe just us 2002’s but the arm is a one piece. It’s my shop tool now and I got a 3 piece for the Tundra since the sub will block the one piece. But yeah, major pain.

I am tempted to devise a window motor solution with switch pros circuit to raise and lower. That seems like it’d be the slickest. I think it could even sell ok if it were well sealed and reliable. But I figure in an emergency I may be dealing with it the hard way. And if I do get to wheel, I’d move the spare to the bed I think as suggested since that gains ground clearance. If the 285 even fits in the spare under the bed in the first place.
