A lot of these surround cameras on cars for parking CAN be enabled to run full time if you get the voltage down on the camera (i.e. 12V -> 9-10V) to help minimize the heat dissipated.

I've looked into this a few years back as part of a work/personal project.

@Sirfive You can't mount a GoPro on your helmet?

I still have a camera to mount. It's a 360 security camera by Waylens. Supposedly if someone hits my vehicle, it'll record the video and upload it to the cloud, then send me a message to my phone.

Happens when I'm parked or driving the vehicle.

    It's good
You want a tube bender and not a pipe bender. Very expensive and need a floor mount and space. More expensive when you add a die set for the diameter tube. Big learning curve as well.

I reckon I'm going to have to trim more off the trailing edge of the front bumper. I snag it from time to time when backing up and turning. I reckon the front drops a smidge if I goose the gas and put the bumper edge in harm's way. I don't hear it when I go forward at all.
I should probably just pull the shock & spring assy and use a jack to verify clearance....but who has time for all that when I can just carry a knife with me everywhere and trim as I go? :D :D :D

Are you sure it's the front bumper you are rubbing? I thought the same thing for a while until I had my wife cut the wheel and back up while I watched. I rub the fender liner in the back. After my last alignment I barely rub now so I quit worrying about it.

    I'll take a look.
With my current alignment, my wheels are pushed pretty far forward, so I just assumed the front is where I'm rubbing.

This one that I have found from a local fabricator in SD. It’s his hybrid.

That's a nice winch mount but it wouldn't be too hard to modify a Harbour Freight universal winch mount plate to work if your on a budget.

Picked up a used tonneau cover today for $150, just needs some paint (thinking bedliner black) and some new struts. Also got some new shoes finally.IMG_7609.HEIC.jpg IMG_7615.HEIC.jpg

Was the lid for an '00-'06 with the same cab config as yours? I've been keeping eyes out for a while, but finally broke down and dropped the coin on a tri-fold.

I bought a Snuglid for one of my previous trucks and loved the functionality but the finish on their products is utter horseshit. It looked like the back of my mom's legs, cellulite across the top of it.

I'd add them if they were able to be ordered. Most of these are either a one off or you need to go to their shop to have it built.

They're basically these, but sold by a hundred different vendors on scAmazon, under different names, all the exact same thing made in the same warehouse in China.

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NF9J8L8/

You can get them up to 20% cheaper than this under a different name, both with and without the red lights inclusive.

Got one in the mail but ordered two. Since it's a five wrap and syn likes 10 wraps, I'm going to double them up. A smart guy would use 1 and hold the bitter end with tape. Only the one at the end (front?) of the wraps really matters. I got two.

Got out in the snow to pick up a find on NextDoor today. Saw one of our own with a nice sized trailer behind it while out to pick it up, before the snow started sticking (we're approaching an inch now, an hour later). Got my monthly 4WD time in, at least, so that's a plus. Good thing tomorrow is a holiday here.

Did a slam and jam spray of the bumper. The Raptor 2K may be gold. Ask me in a few months, everything looks nice out of the can. But, I’ve tried every (almost) blackout spray, and this 2-part is promising, although can be thick and hard to spray well. No big deal once you practice. Does overspray like a garden hose and typical spray paint at the same time…

I really like this stuff and have sprayed a few things so far. Easy like plastidip but was stronger.

Drove mine for the first time in a couple weeks. The tires seemed to have dead spots from sitting and the steering was shaking a whole lot for a few miles.

I picked up an 06 Toyota Solara as a daily driver, gas saver since moving as I found my daily drives are further and see more traffic.

Trying to decide what to do next. I need to pull the camper off for the first time in about five years.
