They don't reflect light back in rain/snow/fog like white lights do.

That's the theory but I sometimes wonder if it's true. I have yellow fogs but I haven't got a chance to test them in much fog.

I just watched a video on this. ^^^ You can add dust for dry areas. Doesn't have to be inclement weather. White light has a higher frequency and further range. Amber has lower frequency, less bounce back as @Festerw indicated, and better contrast.

Seems like it would be beneficial to have both colors. I know I appreciate the white light lighting up the road over my stock headlights.

I agree, if you have whites that use amber lenses that are removable, you can switch on the fly. Some use an amber LED. BD uses white with amber lenses, behind a housing cover. So, although you can switch them for color or pattern, not really on the fly. I didn't want to use amber up at the pillars, but after hearing @memario1214 and also better understanding the wavelength, I think amber pillars makes sense.
I'l likely go amber high and bumper and white bumper.

I’ve had white and amber on the ditch lights and I see deer better with the ambers.

2.75" in the front, 1" in the rear. I'll get exact numbers and post them in the Measure Up thread tomorrow. Still had to trim the front bumper and push in the inside corner of the mud flaps. @Kimosabe helped me out with that tip. Worked out great!

Heading on a long road trip in 3 weeks. Decided to sand & cerakote my headlights as well as upgrading the harness & bulbs.
The lens looks much cleaner. It looks like the lens was so junky before that it seemed to reflect the light back into the headlight housing.
Now it's much better. Hard to tell if the light is brighter. I was hoping for a "wow" change, but we'll see when I drive in the dark next.

I stripped my front differential drain plug while trying to change the fluid. The design sucks and I guess I am not the only one with this issue.

This happened to a few taco friends of mine. They ended up finding replacement plugs with hex bolts. In the meantime to extract the stripped bolt, weld on a hex nut and get to wrenching

I'm sure I'll end up with a couple extra lens pairs to test different color configs. And then there are patterns...

Did it rust from the bottom up, or it rusted because water got between the bedliner and bed?

I won't use spray- or brush-in liners any more after seeing the later happen dozens of times on other people's trucks. Fortunately, all those I've done in the past were mostly on vehicles that had a snuglid, tonneau or similar, so not much option for water to get into anything.
