This is something I need to look into. Approaching 360k miles but I thought there were other things affecting my mpg such as old/dirty fuel injectors.

I am not ready to drill holes on the inside of my bed to attach a MOLLE panel yet. So I came up with an alternate way to hold my accessories. Wanted to share if someone is looking for ideas. All parts were purchased at Home Depot. Clamps are attached to my Truxedo LoPro brackets using 1 inch aluminum plate.

brilliant! I've wanted a way to hold a load bar when not in use so I may do the same since I have the tonneau cover mounting points too. Thanks for the idea

Why did you go with the LTX? I have a set in my DT cart right now but not sure if I want to pull the trigger.

Good news, there is a better way!! They make a pump that fits the top of the 1qt gear oil bottles that has a length of tubing on the out put side. You set the bottle on a flat surface upright and the hose end into the fill plug opening on the diff or transfer case of choice, and pump the fluid in. The pump is $5 at the auto parts store.

I personally love to come here to the forum and ear everyone's thoughts, opinions, and feelings.
    About their Tundra.
    And Tundra related stuff.

Couldn't care less about their political belief and find that like CrossFit or veganism, if you want to know if someone is a political zealot, don't worry they will tell you. Often. Without provocation. It's exhausting. I don't care to hear it here either. I agree with the eventual and unfortunate banning of those that can't seem to resist talking about politics or whatever else is non-Tundra related and hot button enough to drive others away from the forum's real purpose. Loved having interactions with PHM on the forum and must say I didn't see whatever antics got him banned, perhaps he said it in what seemed the more appropriate areas of the forum vs a build thread or tire discussion. Wish he was still here, but promise he wouldn't change, most people can't. He would end up in the principal's office again and back on suspension. They did what they had to do.

whipped up some new spacers for the back of the skid plate. The black one is what they sent with the kit. Wildly insufficient.
    Silver guys fit perfect.

Made these 1/16” shims to try to unfuck my drivers front lean.
I swapped the front shock/spring assy’s L for R and there was no change.
    These are the next step.

I've had those Michelins on my Durango for just about 50k, you'll be happy with them. Quiet on the highway and good traction in most conditions.

    I learn something new everyday.

im not a fan of the electric locks on my truck (or the sequoia) sometimes it auto locks, sometimes it doesnt. So, ive been in the habit of leaving the window down when i get out to work the gate.

well, today i learned i can remove the key with the truck running. Winning! Gonna try to get in the habit of pocketing the key after every startup.

A couple of reasons. There was a $110 instant rebate from Discount Tire this weekend, which soaked up the cost I spent to have the M/Ts installed last week, minimizing my annoyance about that. The LTX just seemed to have universal positive feedback on them. The only downside (in my mind) is the rather boring looks. However, they are/were available in 33s (285/70R17s), which helps with the looks as it fills out my wheel wells pretty well with my lift. They are also not too heavy at 54 lbs. I had also considered the Wildpeak AT/3Ws (255/80R17s, 53lbs), but they are backordered or Cooper ST Maxx (255/80R17s, 51lbs), which I likely could have done or T/A KO2s in 285/75R17s (61lbs) but decided in this direction with the Michelins.

The Michelins do have a 60-day test period on them, which is pretty cool, so I've got some time to see if they will work out for me, or if I want to go in a different direction. I was a bit concerned (maybe warranted, maybe not about going too much bigger than 33s, because I think I have 3.91 gears on my '06 DC?). All of the 255/80R17s are E-rated. The 285/75/70s can either by C or E. The LTXs are Es. The A/T Michelin LTXs only go up 265/70R17s, so those were out of the question.

Glad to hear that feedback. Yes, they are really quiet on the highway. And good to hear on traction too. We don't get a ton of snow here (maybe a week of year, tops), so priorities was wet weather performance, highway performance and noise levels.

Did a couple things this morning...Working on noises. I tried to get slightly longer screws to better mount my glove box. I went with 1" automotive screws with a wider washer to better grab the hinge. #10 seems to be what the OEM screws are. I also got some #12s if I wanted to go a bit bigger.

Got the 5/8" backer rod and shoved it between the dash and windshield to try and stop some of the squeaks. Need to drive it and see if it helps at lunch.

These are 265/70R17s Falken Wildpeaks. If I did a more mild lift, I would have kept them.

    2" lift. Straight monster trucking.

My original plan was 2" lift and 35x12.5x17 with serious tub work. I don't want to spend the coin on gears right now, so I've dialed back the build a bit. If these don't get the job done, or I buy myself something to commute in, they'll be for sale and I'll lose my whole mind.

Allegedly, they're pretty tame on the freeway.
We'll find out in a week or so.
I need to buy lug nuts for the Sprewells still and I may need spacers to push these skinny forkers out far enough to make me happy. #stantzlort

When I had 31’s, I had trouble on the trails at times. With 33’s, those same trails became much easier. 35’s would be great but 33’s is that sweet spot I feel for our trucks.

The more i look at rebuilding my whole front end, im solidly expecting to talk myself into a coilover sas swap. Just gotta hold off until something expensive breaks. And i already ‘need’ front axles…gimme a grenaded front diff or ANY noticable wiggle from the steering or ball joints and i’ll be on the hunt for something full-size…

The invoice that these came with advises the use of 'high pressure valve stems'.
    What the heck?
I was just gonna stab some rubber boiz in the Sprewells and move on. I'm new to this whole E load rating lifestyle.
