Yes I’m one of those people. Rounded out the drain plug and ended up draining the diff from the fill plug.

I didn’t realize it was permanent. I miss PHM as well.

I don't think it is permanent, I haven't checked the green room.

I missed my direction with the Nakita, It works great but I farmed the perspective. Gonna swap it to the 4R and try a handle cam on mine. Bummer to have to re-run the cable, but no real loss.

Same. The lack a rotating lines was a bummer, but the camera seems to see in the dark, which is really helpful and much better than the one it replaced. The FoV is near perfect as well.

Took an early morning drive to give the Defender LTX M/S tires a bit more of a test. I have to say I really like them. They are quiet and smooth and although I have to say they don't look as good as the M/Ts, they give the truck a better driving experience. Got about 13 MPG city too this morning, which is the first time in a while. Looking forward to getting them out on the highway a bit soon. The low MPGs make me remember I should change out my other 3 O2 sensors.

New O2 sensors can improve MPG?

If your bad o2 sensors are running rich, I would imagine new ones would correct that and improve your mpg.

Yea, I mean it's not throwing any codes right now, but that was kind of my thinking. Seems like a decent maintenance thing to do, especially since the ones on right now have 193k miles.

The only thing I'm already sorta not digging is the mounting. Not as clean as a built in handle one and may allow water to infiltrated tailgate insides. I will either get a new handle eventually and just seal it up with butyl in the tiny gap for time being. May run the reverse wire if I get tired of hitting the button also down the road.

They all slowly degrade with time. I’ve plotted out my o2 sensor data before and they can get really bad before they actually fail. The computer only looks at the average of the data I believe otherwise my sensors would fail much earlier in time. I should actually do that again, my sensors are long overdue for a change.

    Well dang, a 35x10.5x17 for < $180. Kenda Klever R/Ts.

Finished greasing up the rest of my doors with white lithium grease. And now my tires are quiet so I can hear all my rattles again. :angrygirl:

Sounds like you're going to have to take the dash apart and grease up those pink little plastic phallac parts holding the dash to the firewall. Another member did that here a while ago to get rid of the squeaks.

So I need O2 sensors you say? I’ll hunt for the part numbers in the crackie thread. Anything else related worth replacing at 150k?

Don't tell @Tundra2 but there's actually a special part number as part of an O2 recall?? as I remember that gives you the upstream O2 sensors for a slightly cheaper price than buying Densos directly at Rockauto. I need to find that part number though. Might be on the TSB.

Thanks for adding another project to my list Bill. Before I joined this site, all I ever did was get oil changes. I can’t even keep up with the to do list now a days. Lol.

Good thing I enjoy every single minute of it

Well there's the backer rod approach of stuffing some between the dash and the windshield. It helped members in the past; I just don't know if it was a permanent fix though.

I treat my truck better than I treat myself so stuffing her isn’t gonna happen lol. Just need to decide if that 1 rattle I get from time to time near the glove box area is worth taking the dash out.

Oh I can also soundproof front if the dash comes out. That’s been on the list for a while. 2 birds with 1 stone. Nice

I was on hiatus when the hammer came down so I’m not aware what led to the ban and from what I know of PHM, I can’t picture anything extreme being said.

On the other hand, this site along with every other site has to follow the rules and regulations imposed on them. Not defending the mods and I truly hope PHM is back soon but as a business owner in Cali, I can tell you from personal experience, you either follow or risk losing everything you’ve built.

This place is privately owned. We are guests. They are allowed to make their own rules. PHM got more chances and warnings than anyone that I've seen. Eventually they got tired of the near daily rants.

That worked for me. It's been around 2 years now I think. I only get an occasional rattle now and you can't even see the backer rod.

Oh. Interesting idea. I should use the search I know. But that sound like a good idea. I know one of the rattles is my glove compartment hinge. But where are you putting the backer rod? The most annoying one is at idle. It's on the the passenger side. It's intermittent and it's always when I'm stopped at a light. I should try and record the sound.

You are putting the backer rod between the windshield and the dash?

I'm not a mod, I just want to point out what I think is a possible hangup here, something I've stumbled with and definitely had beef with elsewhere in the past.

This is a privately owned forum, with public access. It's not a city park our taxpayer dollars pay for. It's privately owned, and in this country that means they have the right to manage however they deem appropriate. If that means having a Terms of Service (ToS) stating no politics or religion outside of subforums allocated to that - something we all agreed to at signup when you first setup your account, if I recall - then they're free to do that.

The mods have a freaking tough job trying to weave the thread on this and make their best judgment. It's enforcement like any other, and I respect the challenge they and our LEOs deal with on a daily basis, even upholding rules or laws they don't necessarily believe in themselves. I think the vast majority do a great job, but we're all human and are gonna make a mistake to piss someone off sometimes. I'm personally not cut out for it... glad it ain't me.

I'll ask: Why would you need to? It's a truck forum.

If someone wants to discuss Him, there are definitely enthusiast forums dedicated to that on the internet where 100% of others are on-board with it. However, they're going to have a ToS that might get you kicked or banned just the same. Exact same punch, different flavor.

My glove box hinges weren’t holding up well. A tad bit larger screw fixed it. Solid as can be now.
