First drive today in the light with my new to me RAV4 mirrors. Total game changer. Man if I could get something similar for the Tundra I would not have any desire for towing mirrors at all. Unless or until I attempted to tow a wider trailer.

Bottom line, these things rule, they would be perfect for a regular cab w shell.

I installed a new aftermarket, short, rubber antenna, and I like it. First I tried "The Original" 6-3/4" but I lost the two sketchy radio stations in town. They weren't perfect with the OEM antenna either, but the 6-3/4" was worse. I got a 17" and it is as good as the stock antenna, and doesn't hit the garage door, so I'm happy.

I wish someone made an adapter for Taco side mirrors on FGT. That and Taco steering wheel are the two most noticeable differences other than my Tundra having poor alignment after the tie rods. Alignment shops out here are booked solid for weeks so I'm just going to wait for the lift to be done and hopefully just do it once.

String, a tape measure, and square, might get you 90% there.

mirror adapters would be cool. But i dont need an airbag, and dont want buttons.

I just want some ditch light mounts that are on the mirror.

BD s1's have been done, ss1's should be possible too, one guy even made a custom 3d printed bezel which looks super slick. I agree though, custom molded mirror caps with ditch light bracket/mounting would be killer. I still have to figure out how to get my chromies off so I can wrap them or paint them or whatever it is that I'm going to try to do to them.

10000 times over i recommend taking it to Trueline in El Cajon. Wherever you are in SD its worth the trek to them I promise. They do amazing work and actually know what they are doing. Just looking at what employees all drive tells a big story in capabilities and care. Hell they even helped hook me up with a guy to straighten my frame for half other places wanted just to measure when I bent the Taco frame years ago.

Kenda makes them. Kevlar RT’s they’re called and they look pretty mean and decently priced. Someone else here runs them and vouched well, don’t recall who. Pretty sure that’ll be my next set. I’m on BFG-KO2 34/10.5.17’s now

I saw those and they definitely sparked my interest. Same width and less than a half inch taller than my cooper 285/75’s. The 10 ply sidewalls on the coopers are a huge plus though! I think I can make 1.5 months on these before the st maxx’s are back in stock. When are you getting the Kenda’s?

Playing around with some options and wondering about swapping some stuff. Looking for opinions.
    1) Current setup with 285/70R17 tires: Falken wildpeak M/T01.
    2) TRD Pro Trail Teams (would have to run 16s).
    3) TRD Pro Tacoma 2021 rims (would have to run 16s).
    4) Defender LTX M/S tires (run with 1-3, I think they do make both a 285/70R17 and 285/75R16, which are about the same size).
I can get #2 moderately locally, and 3 is a potential trade, although as mentioned above it's running a smaller set of tires that I would have to have removed and sell. With option #4, I would just wait until someone takes off a nice pair of defenders off their new 2500 or something :)
Anyways just messing around my current setup is definitely fine.

I have the Klever RTs and with the limited snow so far I still like them better than the K02s I had prior. They are probably a little noiser but not much. They definitely have a more aggressive look to them.
I don't have that size specifically though, I'm running 285/70R17s but they are still 10 ply

Don’t know of any F-150 owners that would spend a Friday evening shampooing their seats with a scrub brush and a shop vac.

Then again, I don’t know too many F-150 owners. :notsure:

To this day I am still running my driveway alignment. Not gonna lie, it sucks to do. Mainly just because of the learning curve. But I’ve got my caster at almost 3 and this thing drives better than it ever has.

I’ll see if I can find a link to what I did. Pretty sure it was an ih8mud thread.
