Yea. I think this is going to look good. The pair I'm getting is the gloss black, which will match my bumper too. I need to find some touch up paint for them however. Still back in forth between 285/70R17s or 255/80R17s. Decided I'm going to get my shell tinted. Going to match the 15% on the sides and 35% on the back.

ETA, likely should go 285/70R17s with the 17x8.5" SCS wheels.

Installed a new rack and aligned the big girl last night, getting ready for 5 days in Death Valley.

@Casper421 oh nice, im excited to hear or see of some of the places you explore out in DV. I havent done many of the cool spots out there, mostly just touristy spots. Although I really wanna check out the "Racetrack Playa" one of these days.

We’re gonna explore Racetrack, Titus canyon and Lippencott mine road. Hopefully more if we have time. The lady hasn’t been to Alabama hills so that’s on the list heading into DV. We’re just gonna head south and see where we end up.

Lippincott Mine Road sounds like a tough trail from the information I just read on it. Have you done it before?

I like stopping off at Alabama Hills whenever im going up the 395, definitely a cool place.

Looks like Toyota may have a new sub-contractor for their OEM rack. The replacement looks almost identical to the original now. For years they had an OEM replacement with the outer tube on the passenger side painted black. My OEM replacement starting leaking within a year after the install as I recall. Hopefully, they've gotten better or I just got a bad one in the past.

Filled up crackie. 234 miles on 3/4 of a tank. $57.16 for 18.444 gallons.

12.6 MPG. Taking it easy as these tires are purt near bald on these wet ass roads.

That's low for as much highway driving as you do. Is that from the 02 sensor/exhaust issues or are you just enjoying the V8?

Still haven't swapped in new 02 sensors. Haven't had time. Still have the too low for closed loop fuel system currently. Rather pay for extra gas than be cold in the rain.....

One of the many, many things on the list during my 10 day break.

    Absolutely enjoying the V8 though.....

That would be cool. But I think powder coating the bumper bronze and leaving wheels alone would be sick!

It should just slide over to one side and pull out. That's what I did when I cleaned the inside tube.

Yeah, I thought about doing that, but the only issue is, I'm going to 17s, so these bronze 16s are going bye-bye.

Thanks! I kind of tried that, but very gently because I didn't want to break anything. How hard was yours to slide over?

Installed a Gm diode. Figured out the easiest way to run it. Just use a add a fuse… stole it off the amp stuff I got yesterday. Works fine no trimming

I don't remember but if it is like the one under the steering column it should take just a tug. I would have to remove my glove compartment again to confirm.

I will be bleeding my brakes and installing a relay for my bed LEDs tomorrow. If I have time I will remove it and check.

It's maybe a bit more pressure then you would expect, but it then pops free and you can take it out. Mine had some foam around it that made it stick. I had remove it to wire up my TPMS bypass wire. It was easier to get more access this way. There really isn't anything to brake per se.
