Good question. Seems to be throughout the Power band and up to red line.

I've heard the opposite, Dyna Packs seem to read high and Dynojets read low.

Not much power bump at peak. But that torque. That’s a nice gain

Yea, I think a tuned ECU by DAP or other can increase that peak power. Also these trucks are notoriously difficult for finding any horsepower. I was an emissions tech for Toyota R&D in LA for many years and always picked the brains of the power train engineers while I was there. they insured me that it was difficult to find power in the 4.7 or any other engine for that matter because they were tuned very well from factory to be reliable at max power while maintaining emissions.

After a month’s forced vacation, a lot happened, and it’s time to catch up.

did the timing belt with my brother. That was a job. Took us two full days and an evening.
And guess what! The timing was off by a tooth on the crank!

We put it back right, and after driving it, I didn’t gain much fuel economy or 0-60 time, but there’s a definite gain in torque from 2000-3000rpms.

also, I sold the Milestar Patagonia’s to my brother and picked up a set of Dick Cepek Trail Country EXPs. They’re SO MUCH QUIETER. I have about a thousand miles on them so far, and they’re great. Got them for $176/tire.

    [IMG][IMG][IMG]

    Also, my deer hunting setup.

the 2gr with a velocity stack, MAF tune and some headers can do 300whp with an s54 manual trans.. theres power to be made. but they dont make it easy. it was discovered the MAF pipe and removing the catalyst over temp protections made pretty large gains for the ol 3.5

Mustang dyno's read low, dynapack and dynojet reads higher. Of course, there are settings the Dyno operator can use to fudge any result, so ymmv.

Mustang and Dynapacks are able to load the engine and are better for tuning. Dynojets only have a heavy roller. IIRC

Not done yet....what y'all think of my template? I got semi roasted for using rusty kitchen scissors for the last attempt at splash guards lol.

Probably some 1/16" rubber from a hardware store if I can find it. The last stuff I used was thicker and harder to cut. Plus the push pins didn't like it.

Make sure you get a material that is oil/gas resistant?
Not sure how deep you are, but Ark splashguard makes a set for our trucks for around 100$

Yeah I saw those. I read that the fit could've been better from somewhere/one.
I haven't spent anything yet. Just a few beers worth of time... I thought about that also, La resistance, that is. I don't think it should be that big of deal, shouldn't be much of that there if everything is good on the truck? Toyota sure didn't care. I'll check when I buy the rubber if they have that info.

All this mirror talk recently gave me autodim envy. My stock SR5 mirror was the scungiest thing on my truck so I looked into Gentex etc. I didn’t need the compass or temp or homelink since I have it in the center stack already. ended up finding an OEM limited mirror on eBay for a steal and picked up a gen harness for ~$20 at the dealer. Looks much nicer.

Replaced all the bulbs in the dash/HVAC panel (only counted 6 btw) and I can see the ones on the edges lighting up (consequently the smaller ones) and I used the adapters these came with for the bigger ones but either it's too bright out or they won't work.

Did you turn the socket around 180°? Leds are polarity sensitive which means they only work positive to positive, negative to negative.

Glad to see I'm not the only one whose stock mirror was doing that weird double-image thing. It hasn't bothered me not wiring my Gentex replacement up yet, the image through the 453 I installed is so much better than my factory mirror that it's a huge win already. Having a hidden behind-glass compass and Homelink v3 *would* be nice though!

After many months of waiting the my odyssey battery finally showed up.

now I need to have the @Coupe trd hold down re powder coated due to this delay being long enough for the battery corrosion to eat the power coat! Bah

Didn't but then I didn't really pay attention to the bulbs coming out either. Seemed like there wasn't any metal in the new bulb/adapter that was going to be touching the housing that comes out but that the new bulb had metal on top that would at least touch the truck side

not only try turning led bulbs 180° you should use the original socket and always test the bulbs before reinstalling panel

whenever you see mirror delamination its usually from cleaning product like windwex dripping into and around the edges of the glass and reacting and delaminating the silvering best to sqwirt rag and clean glass or use a foam cleaner that stays in place until wiped

I been wanting to do this but I do want the compass. I can take or leave ambient temp since my scangauge2 shows me intake temp and it's basically ambient temp +2°F at highway speeds

Got half of the add-a-leaf kit from Torch installed. The kit was great. I actually ended up not using the shim or longer u-bolts because they seemed way too long. I bolted the OEM u-bolts back on but they seem a little short. I did get a full 1.5" of lift from the extra leaf. My c-clamps suck. I need beefier ones to compress the springs that was a real chore. Other than the rust it was a slow-going, but pretty straightforward process. I suspect the other side will be a bit shorter tomorrow.

Tinkered with the headlights today. I figured the occasional bright lights I kept receiving were indication enough to adjust them.
