How hard is it replacing those lights? I've had the panel off when I swapped my head unit, but never looked at the lights closely.

If you go with LEDs, just make sure they are in the right way. In other words, test before putting everything back together. If one doesnt light up, turn it 180 degrees.

I forgot to post last night that I finally got the correct LED's for both the glove box and driver footwell. That last one was a real asshole. I didn't think I was ever going to get it in there. Unless I'm wrong, it looks like the glove box light stays on all the time when lights are activated. I assumed it only went on when it was open but that doesn't appear to be the case.

Bumping this old post Fred. It's hard to tell in this pic but are these the "half-moons" I keep seeing you guys mention? Only 2 and then all 4 corners?

These are the half moons with new FIPG. I used some channel locks to ‘crack’ the half moons off as they were baked in place.

Edit: Only 2 per side. Total of 4 on the engine.

I hate you all. Now I need a new grille. I was going to just plasti-dip the chrome bars. Then you jackasses had to go post your aftermarket grilles that look so much better.

Any other ways you want to spend my money!?!?

Damn you. Damn you all into Fords.

I ordered some 12 hole fuel injectors 2 weeks ago. Getting nervous about the install and how they’ll perform. Still waiting delivery and some good weather once they arrive.

Yep. No switch other than the one on the stick when your parking lights are activated.

You happy with all the light now? Probably way better than when it was new. I know mine is.

Oh heck ya! I'm intrigued by those. I have no idea how to install injectors on this truck so please take lots of pictures. I'm excited to hear how it goes.

Definitely. So happy I went ahead and installed LEDs in my wife's Rav4. I'll eventually spruce up the dash and instrument cluster as well.

Will do. Looks like it will be quicker to do compared to the valve cover gaskets. Just gotta be careful with the o-rings on the insertion. All 4 have to line up perfectly on each side. No pressure here.

I’m loving the rainy weather right now. The truck barely fits in the garage so that’s where she’ll be worked on. I just need to find time to do it.

There are 3 left in the Los Angeles area, that's why I need to swap my battery before those close.

I'll take some pictures tonight when i get home. I did drive my truck today.
I used these off Amazon and Wired them into the back up lights up inside the tail lights. Soldered and heat shrinked every connection.

I also had to change mine recently. I had pulled them off to clean the area and when I went to put one back on it the mounting bracket snapped on the knob (cause I'm an idiot). I just bought 3 new ones on Amazon for less than $20 and changed them all-they fit much better and feel sturdier.

Turned out ok. I like the hand written look better (possible but not gonna re-invent the wheel) in the conceptual. Real life stock emblem looks alright. I’m unique now. Hahahaha.
