toytec had the best price when I was looking for them. I added oem tie rod ends to the parts list but those are nowhere near as cool as the other stuff lol

Also, get some Triflow, to lube the BJs, it’s Teflon based and I think recommend by TC. Haha when they get dry, you’ll think you have a cat under your truck

Did I mention these are a tight fit? I have a finger width between the tire and the shock and a bit more on the leaf. I may be trading out my 1.25" wheel spacers for 2" in the future. Hopefully tomorrow I can get some gussets made and weld it all in. We'll see how lucky I am. I wanted to clean up the axle and leafs and paint them, but it may have to wait at this pace.

That is tight. At off camber articulation does it still clear?

I run my shocks on outside of frame on my Taco and have more space than that and barely clear. That is with Deaver f67 on a 12" shackle so it flexes decently

I think yes and with the little upside down shackle I should get less flex. There is also less travel than an f67. I might drop the shackle hanger and do a longer shackle later. I can't cycle all of the droop with the current setup.

Rattle for years from under the truck somewhere in the rear when going over bumps. I don't know what came over me yesterday... maybe it was the six-pack of Bud, but decided it was time to get my old fat ass under the truck to take a look. Let's see... muffler bracket tight... how about spare tire? Swinging loose like a monkey on a tree branch. Used the three-part spare tire wrench... presto! Tight spare tire and no rattle. Whew... it was time for a nap after all that work!

Home invasion a couple nights ago. They broke in, but were thwarted by the round knobs on the pantry. If dogs had thumbs, they’d rule the world.

Still chasing that damn vibration. Dropping the carrier bearing by 3/4" eliminated it except for right around 40mph. Next step is axle shims I suppose. I'll be calling around on Monday, starting with a local off road shop who install lifts on the regular. It's amazing the number of mechanics I've talked to who have no clue about how lifts and add-a-leaf change driveline angles and can lead to vibrations nevermind the fix for said vibrations.

It's almost as if most mechanics these days are just parts swappers.

Oh just fantastic… my battery STILL hasn’t shown up, and the whole reason I wanted to replace it has now happened. [IMG] Now I have to try and salvage this hold down.

Tried to install my spiker gauge mount. I’m pretty sure I got sent a taco made mount and not a tundra, instructions are different and it doesn’t really fit……
Instead of starting a bashing thread, I kindly emailed them with pics. I bet they like pics too! 798B5EC1-0B7D-4E29-A848-B3DCFD88CB3D.jpg15C057C3-14F9-47C5-B7D8-9AFC5ABE03EA.jpg

hmmm the mount he sent me was for a tacoma too. (it was to test if it actually fit) the gauge mount isnt suppose to go between the grab handle and trim. but instead outside the handle and use the bolt with a spacer to attach it

but mine may of been 01-04 taco mount
