I've seen something along those lines, or using like a formed rubber mat as a liner. I'm stuck between adv fiberglass or fiberwerx flares. Leaning toward fiberwerx as I want to keep the stock fender look, with the added girth.

Fair enough. I'm selling my 2001 and kinda going ham with my 2005 DC. It's my post deployment treat, and me not buying a new truck like my wife keeps harassing me to do.

Building a prerunner in VA means I'm gonna have to wait a while til I do deserty things again hence the need for liners. These streets flood if the moon is full.

Essentially tacking on some pounds. Stress weight!

Dang! Most've made the truck top-heavy, it's flipping over!!

I vote TRD. Toyota logo is cool and all, but it suggests stock while TRD imparts built to kickass.

Still chasing that damn vibration. Driveshaft balanced yesterday, alignment done today. Put the rear tires onto the the front. Vibration is still there. Tomorrow or Friday I'll be doing the brake rotors. That doesn't seem likely to me though since I don't believe I'd feel a vibration from the rotors unless I'm braking. This vibration is while accelerating.

Next step is to eliminate the tire variable altogether by putting the winter tires on. If those run smooth, the tires are the problem. If they don't, I have no idea. My only other though could be wheel bearing but I dunno about that. It doesn't sound off and when I do the wiggle test, there's no play in it.

I have a Toyota logo on my FN wheels. The previous owner put they on originally but I like them. Ive been playing with the idea of some sort of spoke sticker though, either a bar or some FN or toyota logo.

Seriously, if you're 4WD did you grease all the driveshaft zerks?

Or maybe someone's playing a funny and hid one of these somewhere.

And you rotated the tires, confirmed they're balanced? I don't remember the specifics on your situation. Not a wheel bearing or anything?

Tires have been rotated. I haven't had them balanced but that may be something to look into. I haven't had issues since.

The vibration is worst between 20 and 25mph, mainly while on the gas under normal accleration. When off the gas, the vibration isn't there which lead me to have the driveshaft balanced. It's almost a rumble, a vibration you can feel in the seat. Almost as if I were running on the outside aggressive lugs of the tire.

Went and picked up a trailer, to pick up another trailer. Plenty of powa but man she’s a thirsty bitch! Also my exhaust tuning seemed to help a lot with the rpm bump when you give it light throttle, but when I remove the tow chains, my bumper was soooooo hot!! I’ll have to think of something or make a deflector.
This little trailer will probably be bobbed and made into a camping trailer, throw some timbrens on the bitch 88C0DA96-62A8-453F-975F-BCF072A3F582.jpg

I finally got around to dealing with my rusty-ass trailer hitch and bumper. I had the OEM trailer hitch which was also the bumper mount. I ordered the bumper mount kit from ebay (there was another post recently about this) and I ordered a powder coated bumper, which I then painted to match my truck (starting chrome delete). Afterward I installed an aftermarket hitch from Draw Tite. I'm impressed...

Hahah your telling me!! Some wankers took my 6” drop hitch and my wiring adapter within 2 weeks ago. I guess I can’t be lazy with the new one. I went to work on a flag hitch mount the other weekend and was like umm where did it all go?

Now you need to bedliner those fender flares. Good for 0.5mph increase. @Darkness verified.

Well the mud flaps on the flares rather. That fade will not go away with any of the rejuvenation products I tried. I just ended up spraying them with some black spray paint I had laying around. Next stop will be bedliner in a can.

Same. Try as I may, I never got that runners high that everyone talks about. But man, that first 30 minutes after a 10-15 mi ride is one of the most euphoric feelings I’ve ever felt. It’s like hitting the reset button on my give-a-shit.
