Sounds like a clutch fan or more likely, radiator issue.
Towing in a 100 degree day with the new Rad it never went above 184.

Tacuaches come to mind with that. Why they all think they have an LSX in their shitty trucks is beyond me.

The slammed silverado guys? With rowdy cams and stock converters and 20 series tires? Or is that a houston thing?

Pulled the plastic bumper off today to install an aftermarket electronic horn that plays whatever noise I want it to. It's really weird to see what a chunk of plastic does for looks.

Prolly the radiator then. I replaced mine a week after I bought it a few months ago with a Denso unit and Toyota (Denso) t-stat and the needle will not hit mid-point even here in the Az desert. Just a thought.

    I thought he was?

find a quality muffler shop that works with mandrel bent pipe. Those dudes can tuck everything nice and tight, may even have that aluminum bubblewrap in stock for shielding.

It's one of my many aftermarket mods. I use it when I feel like the AC should be more cold at idle. I live in the desert and it's regularly 100 degrees.
He still made me a custom exhaust when I called him and told him my setup. The scavenging/power ratio from my new cat back from him is way better than my last setup.

Oh he will sell you ANYTHING, but the group buys that get jammed down our throats; never applies to the 1st gen systems.

This. But I saw he offered a solution in that of an upgraded y pipe for 20% off for first gens. I think he called it a partial standard system or something. So there's that.

I saw it on one of the FB 1st gen tundra groups Dirty Deeds likes to spam group buys that don't apply to us. Someone called them out and they responded with that offering.

I’m still on the fence of keeping SAIS. We’ll see what happens. I’m pushing the exhaust off a bit longer to focus on the 01 Tacoma. But I do plan on some stans headers for the truck.
