Hey, I have the same issue, the water is coming from the rear around these two slits. You can fill it with silicone.

get the hose and spray water into the slits (one on each side) and watch the water pour into the bed.

When I bought my truck, I stripped the bed rails and the bed liner to do a roll in liner; and I noticed some weird goop crap that was in those corners(I could also tell it once had a topper on it) so that’s probably exactly why it was there and where it’s leaking from now.

Some more photos of my acquisition. Needs legit TLC. Frame looks pristine as might be expected from Cali coastal.

Anyone running 35s? Are they a 35x12.5 or something else? That seems to be all i can find. I figured there's be some 305s or 315s (yeah I know that's the width). But I haven't found any

WTF did they get on the dash? Looks like glue.
Shame these bumpers are so delicate. Someone was parking brail. New bumpers would add a lot. Off Road bumpers would work better, but that's a slippery slope. Congrats on your reacquaintance.

They had a custom vent extension to the bed through the slider, trying to keep the dogs cool. I don't think it worked all that well and it was one of the main reasons why they are switching to an SUV.

I have to figure out how to clean it up or try to source a replacement.

Yeah, I was thinking real bumpers too, don't mind spending a bit on the rehab, never really liked all the chrome anyway and white w black steel tends to look great. I'm contemplating an entire repaint in color matched bedliner paint but I'm guessing that'll be more than the truck is worth (still might be crazy enough to do it though.)

Most of what you are seeing is just oxidation because it's a single stage paint job from the factory. Nearly every white one I see around here looks like that from never being waxed. A lot of that chalkiness would buff out.

True (I have read that before too). Also seems like there was a small impact and the driver side front fender was replaced, the color isn't a great match (some overspray too). Not a huge deal but noticeable. That plus some decent scratches to the metal with a small amount of rust in front and along the side where it was keyed back when I owned it and the dents in front and rear. It shows like a 20 year old truck.

There are a few dark bedliner trucks around here, set up very baja style, going that far is a fairly bold move though two tone white and black might have some appeal.

The shell was pretty used when my buddy got it and has clearcoat trouble too.

If cost were no object, I'm super tempted by quicksand, it's been a fav since I first saw it, but QS exterior with white jambs and engine bay, not sure that combo works for me.

So, is it dried glue or another type of adhesive such as silicone or tape residue? Acetone will remove dried glue and silicone, but, I would strongly recommend testing it in an inconspicuous place first to see how the types of plastic react to it because it may take some gentle pressure and time before it softens enough to be removed. Goo-gone will remove tape residue pretty quickly, but again, I would strongly encourage you to test it in an inconspicuous place first to see how the plastics react.

Thanks. I’m going to hunt for an 03-04 bezel so I can stuff a bigger radio in at empty lord’s suggestion. I’ll see how much of the goop is left after bezel replacement. I think some is on the dash. I believe it is gorilla glue.

    I might try packing tape.

The dashes are painted. Anything aggressive has the chance to remove the paint

Dont know where my words went but meant to add this with the pictures. Ive been wanting to build an extra table on the tailgate but wasnt really sure how to make it happen so I made this up this weekend. It doesnt add a ton of extra table space but I kinda like how it turned out and its really simple and easy to set up and put away.

Also I added new fabric over my tailgate platform to make it more comfy.

I still have an idea I may do one day that involves tailgate storage for things like bungees and shit.

Yea ive seen some amazing setups that use the empty cavity of the tailgate to store bungees and recovery straps and things like you said. Our tailgates arent that deep and there are some things in the way making it kinda difficult. But definitely look forward to seeing what you come up with!

I’m wondering if you could have that rotate open? So cushion is protected and it’s super quick to stow when tailgate is up? Love the idea.

Was thinking i could maybe make it fasten down the length of the tailgate and then unfasten and turn 90 degrees then refasten. We'll see how this next weekend goes, haha

I normally don't recommend products on here, but that looks like duct tape residue. This product is absolutely gd f'n amazing at safely removing all adesives, residue, and stickers from plastics and paint: https://www.turtlewax.com/products/label-sticker-remover-10fl-oz

Sold at Wally World and every local auto parts store I've ever entered, so you should have no problem finding it.

It helped significantly with removing the rotten, cracked clear bra/chip protector from my fender flares: https://www.tundras.com/threads/wha...t-gen-tundra-today.2558/page-665#post-1807471

I do not, but its basically a piece of wood with fabric attached and then drilled with self drilling screws into the tailgate. But before screwing it down I drilled and pushed 4 carriage bolts through the bottom of the wood sticking up and then wingnuts are screwed into the metal table top to secure it for use.

Thanks man, Im honestly really happy with this setup. It has a mattress that rolls out and fills the bottom area perfectly. Sleeps me and my dog just fine but gets pretty cramped when I have a second person sleeping in the back with me. Tons of storage though and has a spot for my fridge and a 12v battery.

I can take more pictures of the camping setup back there if you like!

Use with an abundance of caution! I used it to remove the door ding guards that were stuck on the side of my Pathfinder with double sided tape. It removed the tape residue nicely...until it started to remove the paint as well.
