Honestly if it’s near the bend upward to the bed, they deform there when bending the metal I. Manufacturing.
But it could also be from bombing rail road tracks. Damage that far back from Bambi is un likely

i thought this was front of truck...

but from the lighting - @Tundra2 are those pictures mislabeled or are they flipped??? The lighting says you're showing the outside of the rail at the tire rail, so.... something off. (or am I more drunk that I realize?)

Venison is a tasty treat for tundra, but agreeing with Dan. For this to be at the beginning of the front drivers side swoop upward in the wheel well is more likely RXR

This isn't in the rear. Drivers side front wheel well. I want to say it's right in here somewheres where I've got it circled below.
    20210710_191219.jpg

This an old picture from last year.

Pictures are not mislabeled. Rust poking through is on drivers side. Both pictures were taken against the frame looking backwards with selfie camera for straight edge comparison.

This is inside the front wheel wells. Closer to the cab side of wheel well.
    20210710_191725.jpg

The above picture is the passengers side. I'm talking about the drivers side.

Selfie cam inverts images. That's why photos seemed mislabeled, they are flipped on themselves. makes sense now.
    (Guess I am getting 28mpg from the Tundra. )

I spose I could make some plates with all thread to attempt to straighten that back out if @empty_lord comes back and says his is straight.... Or, I could just leave it alone after rust remediation again, and let it ride. Not risk further structural integrity....

Impasse. Or look on that one website with frame sections, or find the right part number for recall frame number... Buy Brand new.

i cannot pull those up anymore. you'll need to find someone with a v6 who had it replaced. i can get it through their vin then. i'll go check my frame shortly

Yeah, finding anyone with a V6 that stays here... is the tricky part. Guess I'll start browsing used car lots online hoping for vin number present. Seems like V8s outnumber V6s 3 to 1.

    Needle in a haystack.

I hate to bring this thread up because I was a part of that ridiculous dumpster fire there, but... @Torsionbar77 Hasn't been around in quite sometime, and he's the only other V6 guy I know of that had the potential for frame replacement...

But Carfax has 8 of your truck for sale - all with VIN #'s.

I'm on the clock so I can't go look, but I'd say that it's very slightly bowed inwards. Towards the ground. Near the seam in the middle...

I mean, just like a C-hair. Which makes sense if the top of the frame walls are bowed inwards towards the center of the frame, the forces have to move the metal around somewhere.

A booger welded solid front axle would make the straightness of the framerails much less important.

If you have access to an air compressor, you’d be very pleasantly surprised what a $15 Harbor Freight spray gun will do.

This looks weird. Is it because of your weird brake setup on the other side?

I was checking @dirtydeeds website and it doesn’t list the 05-06 anymore.. hmm

I’ve decided to keep the SAIS for now. Mostly because there was talks about visual inspections now… I’m even going to run some gesi cats… may as well be “legal”. The epa is on fire lately

Well… considering they caught me once without cats on the Tacoma while we’re still plug in only… I’m fearful of that. Lol
