That's what I've been doing and why I saw some improvement yesterday. Came home and immediately bled them after doing Dukes of Hazard shit in the gravel.

You gotta hit that sweet spot where your thinking streamlines without all the second guessing and then maintain it. Most times I just end up drunk and finishing it later

Just start buying parts and leaving them in the garage for him to find. Then when he asks tell him you found them at the flea market/a buddy had them in the garage/got them on clearance.

If he's like my Dad he'll know you're lying to him but won't be able to prove it so everybody is good.

Truck seems to not have that wheel hop at 40-50 and just got the alignment done. I knew I was way off but oh well it’s fixed and ready to go.
    Final specs look ok?

If they can do a bit more caster I'd go up to 2.5. Are you lifted with stock UCA's?

Why’s that? Yes I’ve got a little lift from the 5100s and stock UCAs

More caster = better steering feel/feedback. It'll be less light feeling at fwy speeds.

Also brings the tires more towards the front bumper. I'm currently at -0.5 camber and 2.5 caster.

Gotcha. Well it’s a pain to get an appt and get the alignment done with having the kids but next time I need one I’ll ask for more caster.

Any and all input would be very helpful as far as proper prep considering the condition of the roof. My plans are to attempt the roof paint job with rattle in the fall ?
I have a hard time wanting to leave this with a paint shop for 2-3 weeks. The exhaust tip cleanups I feel confident the outcome can be achieved following suggestions I've read here and utubes but any thoughts on them would be helpful and appreciated....TGIF !

Tough call on that one since the rest of your truck seems so nice. I'm not sure what I would do. Maybe worth getting a quote at least?

Thanks Erik....the rest of the truck is indeed in very good shape paint wise even at 17 years old. It is indeed a tough call but in some ways not. The quote would not be an issue if you mean price wise, it's the time these guys take. We are a small town of 2K and everybody and their brother has veh at our 2 body shops. At the end of the day , it's probably better to suck it up and however long it takes is what it is.
Just thought I see how much it would entail.

Finally, for the first time in 2 years, my truck no lingers flashes the tpms at me. I now have a fully functioning tpms system again… now I need to do the long process of setting the scan gauge up to display tire pressure or temps.

Your lifted right? 2.0 castor is kinda low for a lift. But if it’s not rubbing your fine there

Few years back a reputable body shop repainted my roof on my Audi for $500.. came out great.. far better than any rattle can job

My cambers closer to -1.0 and I don’t much care for that’. BUT castors 2.9 and I have no rub and it drives fine… just rotate the tires frequently and I can probably avoid the camber wear

Spray bomb it. Scuff it, mask it, spray it. Wash it and clear it the next day.

Yeah 3rd notch on 5100s. Still clearance between UCA and tires and no rubbing anywhere so I’m ok with it so far. Haven’t done the fwy yet though

Rotated my tires, changed my oil. Was pulling the drain pan out and luckily realized that I had made the most rookiest of mistakes! When I threw the plug and new washer on I forgot to pop the old one off the pan! Drain pan entirely full, I stuck a funnel in the 5 qt jug and quickly pulled the plug, popped the washer, put it back on. Lost right at 1 qt and poured it back in.

Time for a drive around town and tomorrow I'm taking a 700 mile round trip to Sacramento.

Not my truck but a friends 2003 Tundra ac. She just purchased and wanted a chrome bull bar, so mission accomplished. Also did both ac window hinges, since both were broken, mission accomplished. Had to drill out the hinge holes, just like on mine I did three years ago!

I had a TPMS system in one of the cars that would display temperature. It explained why front right axle's needed regreasing, front right tire was always a ton hotter than the other 3. guess the Turbo & down pipe really put out a lot of heat. :) I thought temp was silly so long as I had pressures, but it was good info to address some design flaws.
Let us know if you see any interesting data like that.

Temp is a better indicator of if you need more air pressure in the rear when towing. If it’s too low the temps will be fairly high

Why do mechanics always end up with Audi's?
Wasn't even thinking towing - but excellent point.
