Drained a can blastin' my nuts and bolts. Will have to go pick up some more PB Blaster or Liquid Wrench, whichever happens to be in stock when I go out later this week. Rear Sway Bar shipment appears to have been delayed by two freakin' months.

That sway bar won't be difficult to install. We can do it later.

The kit I did wasn’t bad, maybe try not doing the block off plates if you don’t HAVE to

@FrenchToasty which kit you go with? From what I can tell the block off plates tend to be a pain to install lol

Anybody know how often the rear drum brakes should be serviced? Are there any available upgrades for them other than disc conversion?

I found a user on t4r that makes a kit; Slyfox. Under 50 shipped without block off plates. I did injection delete when I put headers on that eliminated the tube, therefore I didn’t need the plates.
Yes I’ve heard they are a pain just because there’s no room. What were your codes again? Or what did they point to?

I'm wondering if they're needed as well or only needed to run the non vvti style headers to save some major coin.

So that’s what I did and for that reason, ran the long tube non vvti version, and then didn’t need to order the block off plates, it’s super nice not hearing those hoovers in the morning!

@Cummins3500 this is basically all I had to install and hide it in the loom on the way to the maf

@TRDGen i went full custom off of the long tubes, the borlas don’t do much muffling haha.
I’d also like to tune the exhaust back pressure some, I feel like my dual 2.5 needs a little restriction for more BP

I’m guessing if they are stuck closed, you won’t need the plates. Not sure if you’ve replaced all O2s/ checked harness, but your cats might be done, perfect time to do headers……..jk I know you just got her back from the doctor

I’m curious to see how hard they are to get in. Hewitt recommends install but I’m sure that also doubles as a sale tactic also. We’ll play that one by ear. At least those codes can’t send me into limp mode :anonymous::bananadead:

You want them. Eventually the exhaust gasses will erode the valve away.

Pretty much I just open them up if the parking brake won't hold the truck.

No upgrades I'm aware of other than the disc upgrade.

I actually thought the same. But checking mine it wasn’t. The throttle % is % max voltage. It’s not corresponding to throttle opening. Mine maxes at 84%

With my floor mat in I was only able to press the throttle to 54%. With the mat removed it goes to 74%. The weird little hump on the back and bottom of the pedal made contact with the mat. Your floor mats may be different too.

Both of those pedal ID sensor screenshots were with my foot lightly pressing the pedal to the floor.

I hope this is for some sort of cooling alcohol/distilled water misting shenanigans. It has come up a couple times in different threads in the last week or so.

There are posts on here describing how to fix that leaking rear window. Let me know if you haven't found them and I can try to dig them up.

Filled up petrol holding area. 19.3 gallons. $54.09. Added a quart of oil. Added about yay much seafoam to the crank case. Remembered my oil test kit I ordered. Cussed myself. Drove off.
