Bought some Amazon headlights and the quality was awful. The corners looked used and it looked like they used sand to glue them. Instantly retuned them.

Anyone have a link to some good headlight for a 06 double cab. Trying to stay under 250

@Tundra2 Truck is looking really good these days with those rims and all that black! You should black out your mirrors.

Thanks! I was considering it. May hit @lsaami up for his donor truck mirror caps.

Not 100% sure how I'd like it. Perhaps @Darkness could work a little photoshop magic to help push me over the edge.

Also, when I got done offloading the gravel, it started raining. I found an old Rain-x windshield washer additive bottle that was about half empty. Treated washer fluid, and then poured the rest on the cab/roof/hood, and windows.
    20210701_104803.jpg

I spent less than 5 minutes rubbing it into the body/windows, and the water started to bead right up. Unsure of the resolution of the image for you guys, but I didn't do the bed. Water just did what it always does on dirty paint.

I'd call that a success as long as it doesn't eat my paint. real easy labor. Low cost. No buffing. No wax. Just a couple of quick wipes. @onesojourner's stomach will be in a knot by the time he gets down to this line of the post. Lol

Yeah I'd probably rinse that off your paint with some Dawn just to be safe. Then wax it! :D

I have never heard of rainx hurting paint. Go to town man. You are waxing your truck you are just not calling it that. Baby steps. You'll get there. Next thing you know you will find half used claybar somewhere.

Keep the chrome or color match. It ties the trim in now.

OEM or bust. My Amazon specials were put on before I got the truck. I am going to do it though. The optics in the OEM housings are just way better.

I waxed... my truck... there hasn't been a clay bar on these premises since 1987.

This is why I've left it so long. Speaking of trim... I'm not sure whether I want to replace the fender arches or remove the remaining two. I like the chrome accent there, but each one is like $149 from Toyota. Unsure...

I went with OEM and didn't look back until these clear corners were available. Headlights are still Oem.

I bet you can get that trim used pretty cheap somewhere.

I just did a quick Lil search on car-part.com. I didn't see any like this. Plenty of flares though.. There was one wheel well molding that looked similar, but the picture was so shifty I wasn't 100% sure what I was looking at.

I’m not sure what’s on the road but this is the first year I’ve had the exterior (including glass) feel gritty after driving out on the highway. I feel compelled to wash it now even though it isn’t really dirty visually.

Don't take it as a promise but there is a chance I still have mine. I gave away 2 of them to a Tundra in need but can't recall if I still have the rears or the fronts, or if I still have them at all. I'll take a look at the end of July when I visit my parts stash.

My lightbar is still stuck in my bumper, todays project is to dance it out so i can make the brackets.

but my winch came in! Something like 4kg.

gotta trim the grille a little, but it’s definately worth the cool points and extra weight.

I like how they look, but wont get to drive it for about 6 months. Wife did not complain about extra noise when she drove it home, so that’s a good sign.

Made some 1/4” spacers for the carrier. See if it makes a difference. I’ll try 1/2 after this. Past that it’s not center bearing related

fingers crossed I can figure out the only annoyance which is this rear end vibration (it started with the lift…)[IMG]

Have you measured the angle of your driveshaft relative to the rear axle yoke and the transfer case yoke? If it's greater than 2* that will contribute greatly to driveline vibes.

Understood. I went through this issue on my '98 Jeep XJ when I installed 5.5" lift. I installed a slip-yoke eliminator and shimmed the Dana rear pinion upward 4* and just like magic it was smooth as silk at any speed. I don't think anyone makes an SYE for Tundras though, idk. Spicer says 3* is the max angle.

I’ve got silky smooth take off. So I don’t think angles are too much of the issue. I’m 90% sure it’s the slip joint being over extended
