I'm amazed at that deal. I bet that exact same trailer would be listed for $15k on Facebook Marketplace here.

@Nightshade Tundra and @Cpl_Punishment yea we got lucky, the couple we bought it from got a brand new 5th wheel and they wanted to get rid of this one. Almost went to an airstream or a fiberglass TT, but we couldn’t pass up this deal.

You could buy ten of those for the price of an airstream. That was the right call.

Nice find. Use that while you think and search about a forever camper if that is the route you want to take. Now you can go camp while you search/research for that perfect deal on a forever camper. That is exactly what we did. Usable Airstreams/fiberglass jobs can be found on any budget if you are patient. It is not hard to get into a usable Airstream for about 15k, it will need some work. If you add another 10k to that then there are lot's of options. The depreciation in 10 years on another camper will be more than what the price difference is on an Airstream or fiberglass trailer.

You are setting pretty with that price. Usable travel trailers bottom out around 3-4k and yours looks like it is a long way from that. When are you going to take it out?

    Fueled the boat yesterday...95 gallons of non-ethanol fuel...$337 :eek2:
Talk about adding weight, the boat now weighs some 580 pounds more.
Edit to add - the boat gets worse mpg than the truck, so it is possible to get worse mpg than a Tundra:D

Well we made it out to Moab safe and sound this afternoon. The Ram handled the "Ike Gaunlet" extremely well. The wife gave the truck her seal of approval...she wasn't very happy that we got rid of the Tundra but after this drive she was glad we did.

We averaged 10-11 Mpg the whole way and trans temps never went above 170 degrees

Nice! Have to look into that with the dual slides. Our 2106ds micro Minnie could use a slightly bigger bathroom too.

It is really amazing in such a small rv, 23ft. It really opens it up, and feels so much bigger as it has higher ceilings than a typical rv.

The opposing slides make all the difference. I have a Coachman 233RBS and it feels huge inside compared to any other 23' trailer we looked at.

Was off last week so we went camping. About a 4 hour tow each way and about half of that was in elevation and hills/mountains. Pop up is 2500-3000lbs, then gear for 3 days, kayaks, etc. Truck did great. Worse MPG was on the way home, stayed more in s4 vs s5 due to terrain and I did drive at higher speeds, still happy with the 12mpg towing and loaded. I got about 1.5 mpg better on the trip to camp.

Nice. How effective is the AC for a tent trailer? Have thought of a setup like this myself.

It works pretty good. As with any camper, the AC cools it down by about 20 degrees.

It is worth having and makes sleeping much better. Also helps a ton with humidity. I have the heater coil added on the unit, and while not a true heater (we carry an electric heater with us) it does heat and remove the chill. When I use it and the electric heater we carry we are good and comfy inside down to the low 30s.

You know my graphics are peeling and cracking on my 2014 KZ Sportsmen. I was going to replace them, but now that I see your TT, I might just remove them all together. Not a bad idea. :monocle:

I really love it, especially on the side where the door is and all the windows and such. I get compliments all the time, it just looks really clean. I took them off as soon as I got it, they peeled right off. I had my other TT for over 10 years and it looked like crap, so when I got my new one I knew right away the graphics were coming off. The front is actually painted, so that is really the only color and it's funny cuz its MGM like my truck.
