    Happy wife…happy life :)

Thank you, you got a great point on usability of the back seats. I also can’t get used to how goofy double cab looks..compared overall truck dimensions

After having sat in one the other day. I doubt I will be buying one. I think I will stick to my 17 Platinum.

    Too bad it’s impossible:
    - you can’t get lunar rock above the limited off road trip
    - cannot get the OR package on a platinum
    - cannot build OR package with power running boards

Ugghhhh, that sucks, how close can u get to it, or what would be your compromise build? I changed my color, gave up tow mirrors, and no steps

I just sold my 2018 Trd Offroad crewmax and never had a problem because of the size. I have a dog and went to the lake every weekend and would not have wanted a double cab. I looked at it before I bought one and hate the look of the double cab. No offense to anyone who has one !
The looks, the extra room is a no brainer for me !

I'm currently waiting for a limited with the top TRD package in MGM or lunar rock. I'll be coming from a 2012 Tacoma SR5 4cyl manual transmission which I lifted. It should be a pretty big upgrade in creature comforts and performance. A lift and 35s will definitely be on the Todo list. And when available, winch bumper.

Thank you, I actually changed my order to Crewmax with 6.5ft bed this morning. I looked through cargurus and couldn’t get myself to like the DC look. So might as well get long bed plus the full cab.

After trying every combo I can think of, I still think the SR5 TRD Sport Premium is by far the best in terms of features, value and looks.

The current choice of the moment is magnetic grey CrewMax with black interior.

We currently have a Crew Cab truck with 5'7" bed. In 12 years I think the huge cab only came in handy once or twice.
When I told my wife I'd like the shorter cab/longer bed for the next truck, she basically said the same thing to me (she also makes me keep 12 stacking plastic chairs we never use for guests who never come over)
So it's going to be CM 6.5 bed for us.
Really, I think it's the best looking version, I do like the proportions best of the new Tundra in CM 6.5.
Where we live, WA state near Seattle, the length of the truck is not the issue. It's the width of parking spots here, they're all very narrow. And a tight fit even for our Corolla. Having a truck that's longer than my current one doesn't really make parking any more difficult than it already is.

Waiting on a couple things for maybe another month tops, then going to order a Blueprint SR5 TRD Off Road. MSRP should be about $52k. No idea when they’ll deliver trucks ordered in early Jan . . . . . . hopefully by July :D

Can someone tell me why Lunar Rock is so awesome?

Does it hide dirt well? Does it pop in the sun?

Let’s just say you will park, walk away and turn around and look at it several times in the course of a day… Just look how different it looks where the light hits it and where there’s shade!! I’m biased so……D7BE2918-5D40-4E33-B087-1862F056CFCE.jpg

Yea Thanks! This is the same pic from the other side in full sun…. Very unique color and I’m not sure if people just say it to be nice but lots of compliments while driving with the windows down and my dog sticking her neck out of the moonroof…F8257F75-43B7-4EBC-8A0F-FC43E10803F4.jpg

Your comparing two trucks that are the same size. The new dc 6.5’ and the crew max with 6.5’ bed is 12” difference in length.

TRD Air Filters, Front door windows tinted to match the rears. Wheel locks, Talons Garage cat shield, Tyger Automotive soft tonneau cover, WeatherTech floor mats with Tuff Skinz Custom Emblem kit, Toyota OEM Emblem Black Out kit. AVS vent covers on all four doors, Red Tundra letters on front bumper & TRD highlighted in Red on front grille. Tailgate Tundra Letters in Black.
If I buy a 2022 it will be this summer. Of all the Tundras I’ve owned, one was black and two were silver so I’m leaning towards a limited double cab 6.5 bed with TRD Off-road and premium light package in Lunar Rock.

    I'm not comparing anything lol
That extra 12" is inside and wouldn't want to be without it.
On another note I just noticed they changed the doors on the double cab. It looks better than the previous years. It was probably those door handles that made it look strange to me at least.
