I'd want my 2022 to have 4WD, the highest towing and payload capacities, largest fuel tank and the least bells and whistles (luxury and convenience features).
So, I think I'd opt for the SR5 DC 4WD 6.5' bed with tow mirrors (can't recall if they're included in the towing package), roof rack, bed mat, all weather floor liners, running boards and tonneau cover in super white.

A few dealers have my wish list and call occasionally. I am hoping for a Limited Crewmax 5.5ft bed. Prefer 2WD but would take 4WD. From the factory would need JBL, Premium Package, and Moonroof. The Tonneau, mats, running boards can all be ordered without issue. Color wise my preference is Red, Lunar, Dark Grey, Blue, Light Grey, White, and then Black.

Same here, white Pro w/ red interior. Even told my buddy who’s looking at getting an orange Pro, I don’t think red seats look good unless they’re in a high end sports car or exotic. After seeing more videos and pics, changed my opinion and getting red. Both my kids had red Peg Perego convertible seats.

I'm hoping someone can help me clarify something... when i put the vin for my 2022 in toyota's VSPEC website it has a section titled "Date of First Use." Is that Toyota's wording for estimated delivery date?

I’m pretty set on a sr5 dc in army green with trd off road premium package and as many other packages as it can come with. Need that 14” screen and 32 gallon tank.

It's close enough to white ! On Toyota's website they show both and you can't tell the difference!

My 2c - as a fellow Canuck. yes the used market is redonkulous! It seems like you could flip the Taco with super low mileage and turn a little profit when the Tundra comes in. Hybrid out of my take here, as it seems it won't be selling until spring I heard so early summer delivery at very best. So run the Taco and then take the 1st chance to drive the Tundra and if you love it, dump the Taco the day the Tundra comes in. Consider flipping the Tundra for a hybrid one next year if it still draws you in.
I completely understand - life is for living and live it when you can. I hope all goes well/continues well with your diagnosis. (coming from a family full of it I know the perspective evaluation to some degree)

For me and my needs I would not go any higher trim level than a Limited. SR5 with maybe an SR5 Upgrade package (whatever it will be called) will be more than enough.
I think it is silly (and that's just my opinion) to buy a $35k base model truck, or double that for a $70k Pro which is essentially the same truck. On the previous models even the same engine and drivetrain. 3rd gen at least give you a little different hybrid option, bigger screen, fancy leather seats etc., but in my opinion not worth an additional $35k (using rough numbers here of course to make the point) You can just about buy 2 base models for the price of one top trim truck.
With the other manufacturers it is the same principle, but at least there are bigger differences between the trims with different drive trains, interior options etc. Still not worth 2x the base model.

I wanted a faster vehicle so I also bought a Chevy SS... because 4 door sedans with big V8’s are hilarious.
The upgrade to Fox piggyback reservoir shocks is more suited to running around on gravel and trails. Plus I don’t trust the long term durability of air suspension systems.

Thanks for the comments and advice !
So last weekend I sold my 2018 Tundra Offroad for $52,000 even ! $500 more than I paid including taxes Lol. I sold it too a private guy but the same day I also had an offer of $52k from a Toyota dealer. It was just that the private guy saw it before the dealer and I hadn't accepted the dealers offer. Just shows you how desperate the dealers are to get some vehicles on their lots.
As far as my new Tacoma I've been thinking about advertising it close to what I paid for it plus accessories and see what offers I can get. I paid about $60k including everything but I've seen other ones with no extras for the same price so someone would get a good deal. I would make sure I don't lose anything. Its a nice truck but I'm just not sure now after driving a bigger one. I guess I should have seen one in person but that wasn't a choice lol.
I was originally thinking about a new Tundra Pro but might go with a Platinum non hybrid instead.
I'll be seeing a 1794 in a couple weeks just to get an idea of how the new Tundra's look in person.

how did you find out who has a specific model coming in? - I know Manitoba is a very different population base, so fewer dealers, but there are sooo many in southern ontario & Toronto/Niagara area I can’t search each one individually to see who’s getting what in!

I looked online and seen who had upcoming inventory. Just go to specific dealers and look for 2022 tundra. Then I called those ones and asked wht was coming in for them not taken already. I got a few different answers about how fast a new order would be filled.

That price range is touching Super Duty/ Heavy Duty territory with a wider band of options for that kind of money... So, I'm out! Keeping mine too...Paid in full with 25kmiles. just breaking in.

    2) Lunar Rock

I'd lean towards the SR5 with a TRD sport package, 5 ft CrewMax...if i'm talking going all out....for me, it would be a Limited or a Platinum with a TRD package....i don't go offroad, so I don't feel it's practical for me to buy a TRD Pro

This is what I just sent my sales guy, I’m first in line at the dealership when the hybrids drop. Not going to lie, the MGM 1794 with off-road package looks super sick on the builder if the grill does end up being that color- delete the rest of the chrome and it’s golden. For some reason you cannot add the power running boards with the TRD package

    Platinum 4x4 hybrid 6.5ft bed
    • MGM, Windchill Pearl White
    • Power running boards + tow mirrors
    • $63,744, 65,389 with advanced package

    1794 4x4 hybrid 6.5ft bed
    • Army green, MGM, Windchill pearl
    • Saddle tan interior only
    • TRD off-road package
    • Power running boards
    • $64,944 trd, $64,154 with running boards

    Limited 4x4 hybrid 6.5ft bed
    • Lunar rock only, black interior
    • Trd package with all options- $4,435
    • $58,449

I was set on a sr5 loaded with every package including off road in army green but according to the builder you can’t do that… I guess I’ll be forced into a limited dc trd off road. I wonder what color matching all the chrome costs..

It was between last night and late this afternoon. I had a limited build on my browser and when it refreshed about an hour ago I noticed it was no longer an option.
