What’s the name of this part that supports the batter tray? And fog light install question.

I was wondering if this platform that looks that the battery sits on is something I can get a replacement for or if it actually can be removed so I can better remove the rust and repaint it?

Also when i reattached the bumper I’ll be installing fog lights on my truck for the first time ever. Will I put the fog ligh assembly directly against the studs on the front bumper and then tighten the nut down, or tighten the but to the bumper then use another nut to install the fog lights on the bumper stud?

    Thanks.

Fortunately I have not had to address an issue such as that but last month a member posted similar but has not responded back of how it went.
Please post back if you attempt the removal with your findings.

    Thanks,
I’ll just wire wheel, sand, put on some rust remover, prime, paint and maybe use a spray on bed liner over that. And a new battery tray. I’m wondering if the newer trays from the newer gen tundras that hold a 27f will fit…Otherwise I’ll get the 24f size one.

Certain 1st Gen Tundras use 27F like my 04 that came with cold wx package, so 27F is not confined just to "newer gen tundras"

That part does not come out (unless maybe with a plasma cutter). Scrape away all the loose rust, and get a bottle brush or similar thing to scrub out the space underneath. Use a rust converter (you pick, there are lots of choices) then paint it (I prefer Eastwood Rust Encapsulator, although most will say POR-15).

I believe that either plastic battery tray (24F of 27F) will fit.
