The first thing I would do is turn off the DEMO mode..:D
If all this happens again, I'd reset the HU.

Glad you got it working. Yep. OEM amp. And not bypassed or spliced. So your PO probably used a Crux or Axess bypass in behind the dash, which may be taking a shit. But I may be wrong. I don’t see how else they’d be able to hook the amp unless they ran all new speaker wires from the HU to the doors, which I doubt

    Yeah, I hear ya.
I know of the shop that installed it for the PO . . . and with their reputation in mind . . . I doubt they did anything extra or went above & beyond on anything.
I have no clue what happened or how it corrected itself, really strange . . . only thing I'm coming up with is that maybe it sort of re-set itself???
Perhaps because I had the fuses out this last time for a longer period of time while I checked each one for continuity ?
I'm just glad I don't have to fork out some dough for new audio components.

Thanks to everyone who replied in this thread trying to help out, MUCH APPRECIATED . . . this forum is GOLD.

Glad you got it worked out..

In my experience, local shops around Dallas/Ft Worth are a bunch of shit-talking know-it-alls who know very little.
I learned years ago with the help of forums like this how to do my own audio installs..

I knew basic stuff, installing my first under dash radio in a 1969 Ford Fairlane in 1978..:eek2:
But there is plenty of competent info to do stuff ourselves these days..:D

That under dash unit just knocked some dust off a memory in my head. I remember that round tuner... must have been the parents 72 Galaxy 500 2dr...

Going back under my rock now
