I hear ya my friend. I think it's time. Considering the amount of money, time, and energy I've now put into this truck I think I've earned the right, lol. Besides, I think it'll help a bunch of others spend their money while it distracts me from spending mine. I've got enough ideas and assistance from people on this site and others, it's time to give back a little.

 

I'm hoping to start 1 next week. I'll have my prolink by then and I'll be ready, lol. It might not be as nicely written or have as nice pics as yours but it shouldn't lack products and money spent. Lol. Think I'll go with the idea of a product or 2 or 3 a week. That way I can address each thing I've done and answer questions during the week. It'll also give me time during the week to get my shit together to post the mods on esch weekend. Repeat process.....

 

I never thought of it or had any intentions to do a build thread. But after thinking about it and being asked by others if I had 1 or could do 1, I think it's a good idea. I just hope others enjoy and get some benefit from it, while at the same time distracts me from doing more, hopefully get a win-win out it. I'll let u all know when I post the thread next week.

 

Just added the prolink. It really cleans up the look of front end. This thing is bad ass too for all the benefits it provides for use and safety.

 

I just started my build thread today (yaaaayyy special ED crank yankers)
Many more mods to go on a daily/worst case weekly basis. If interested come check it out, the goodies will keep coming. Keep in mind it just started today, I will try and post up a bunch each week based on my schedule which is busy. I'm shooting for at least 4 each week. That should keep me busy and keep them coming for a while.

Ordered my Slimline on Black Friday. Hope to have it all delivered and installed in January. Anyone else opt to go with the Warn 12-S Platinum as opposed to the 10-S?

Don't quote me on this, I don't want to be the reason if it doesn't work. But I could swear that I had spoke to someone that asked me the same question. I told them I had no idea, that they should call SSO and ask. I'm pretty sure that they did call and ask, then told me that they were told there is no issue with it. I'll repeat to be safe, anyone interested should do their due diligence, call or email and ask SSO too, but if I remember correctly, it was not an issue with safety sense. 1 more time, call and ask SSO, they would know if anyone with TSS has has done this or not, but I think they have.

I was just looking at this bumper on their site last night and knew the truck in some of the pics looked awfully familiar. I'll be adding this at some point, probably near the end of the year(hoping for a black friday sale). I'll probably get a pro to install though because I don't trust myself to cut into the truck.

 

It’s not that big of a deal. I thought the same thing. Measure twice cut once.

 

I also have no experience running wiring to the cab and installing switches, so the whole project would be foreign to me. Maybe I'll decide to sack up by then and figure it out.

 

Yeah no worries man. The cutting is probably the easiest part of the whole thing imo. Love mine though

Believe it or not, the truck on their site is not mine. I saw the truck on their site and knew I had to have it.

 

The cutting was easy. It did take me to man up though knowing I couldn't f it up. U can always do all that mount the bumper and have a friend over that is good with electrical give u a hand. That's what I did and it worked out perfectly.

 

Yeah, I looked again after posting and realized those weren't your rims. Either way, that bumper looks so good on an MGM.

You all know you can go on line and down load the whole installation instructions with pictures at the manufacturer web site.... right.

That's exactly what I did. The instructions provided are pretty damn good. I just followed line by line. Unfortunately when I 1st posted this I had my pics all aligned with my steps. Unfortunately they didnt post when I 1st put my instructions. At that point it was too late to delete thread and start over because a bunch of guys were waiting on me to post about this install. So I had to just go back and post the pics in a row, not tied to the write up. I messed that up pretty good. I tried to help everyone, just didnt work out as great as I originally set it up.
