These are nice quality pieces, I hope they come up with a solution.

Update from VLED- “We are very sorry for the issues you're having with RF noise on the 921_36_5.5K LED Bulbs. We are currently manufacturing an updated version that should solve the issue you are having. We should have an expected ETA within the next couple of weeks.

Once we have completed manufacturing the new 921 bulbs we will send you a pair with the updated design.

If you prefer you could return the 921 bulbs for a refund.

Please let us know what you would like to do at your earliest convenience.

    Thank you,

That sounds good. I’m lazy; don’t want to remove it twice.

You should let their support know there is a whole group of us experiencing this issue. I’ve spent close to $500 on their Black Friday sale converting every bulb to VLED s.

So I hope they dont give me any hassle on exchanging the ones I have for the new set.

so I contacted Precision LED (where I bought mine) about the issue. They were useless. They told me they have never seen this, and that there is no fix (but offered me a refund). I referred them to this thread, with no response.

I have bought from both vendors in the past, but will support VLED going forward.

I emailed VLEDS since I was past the 30 day return window. They sent me the same response as @MGMTundra251; so it sounds like they will be offering folks the option of waiting for the new updated bulbs or returning for a refund even if you're past the normal 30 day return window.

VLEDS is currently making 2 white 921_36 prototypes with the updated RF interference blocking design and have asked me to test them on my 2018 Tundra. They will be shipping them out to me as soon as they receive them from manufacturing. Assuming the new bulbs work and there are no more issues with the key fob - they will move to final production.

Will keep this thread updated as soon as I receive more information.

VLEDS just sent me the new prototype bulbs. Should have them by Tuesday and will test them ASAP. Fingers crossed that they resolve the key fob issues!

That was fast! Still following this thread even though I got the Luyec 921's off Amazon. Have not installed them yet (because of all the friggin' snow and cold weather ) so I don't know if they will work either.

I know that this started as a VLEDS thread and I apologize in advance for the derail but I wanted to let you know that the LUYED 921 bulbs work perfectly in my 2018 Tundra.
I will say that I have over $200 invested in various VLEDS LEDs and love their products for their great quality and their customer service is the best in the biz but for $13 shipped including a 1 year warranty the LUYEDs are worth a try.
Sorry for the foggy pics we are getting a mid winter rain event here in Vermont today.

I have those exact Luyeds in my 2018 and they definitely interfere with my keyfob. If VLEDs comes out with an updated set that solves the issue I'll definitely be buying their offering.

I'm not sure I understand why they would work perfectly in my 2018 and not yours.

That's a very good question, but I've tested it multiple times. If you are next to the driver side doors it usually locks with no issue. If you are in front of or behind the truck the keyfob won't do anything until the cargo light turns off. The second it turns off the keyfob works perfectly.

Actually, the first time I locked/unlocked via the key fob was standing in the bed of the truck right after I installed the LEDs.I made it a point to lock/unlock while the cargo light was on.Absolutely no issues so far with the LUYEDs. And BTW they are BRIGHT!

Was able to test the new 921 prototype bulbs from VLEDS today. They are working great and no longer causing any interference with the key fob receiver. I can lock and unlock the doors without any delay unlike the old bulbs. I've let VLEDS know and believe they will now be moving to final production.

Will update again when I hear back from VLEDS customer support.

I just ordered a single VLED 921 red bulb for the third brake light. Keeping the cargo bulbs stock for now. Since they are in the same location, has anyone had any issues with replacing just the one bulb over replacing two?

    From VLEDS customer support:

"We will move to production and should have these new ones available in about 1-1.5 months. We'll create a new SKU on the website for 2018+ Tundras in the meantime. If anyone else is having the issue make sure they contact us so that we can get them the new ones on order."

I am new to all of these LED interior lights. What color lights (5000k,5500k,6000k) are you all using for interior? Also just wondering if you guys wouldn’t mind and could post some interior pictures with the VLED lights.

Man, I love this forum! I had posted some time ago about the delay when trying to lock my doors as I’m walking away. I just checked back in and bam, an explanation of what causes it! I did notice it more once I changed everything to LED bulbs. I would never have guessed that it was LED interference. I’ve changed fobs, changed batteries, etc.. Thank you, everyone!
