What does something like this cost? Does insurance cover it, or does it just depend?

    Asking for a friend. ;)

Our insurance covered it but I paid around $280 for the initial visit and deposit on the procedure. We have BCBS

Maybe it depends on the Dr. For me the procedure was very uncomfortable. I was squirming and the guy reminded me he had a really sharp knife in the vicinity of my balls. The recovery wasn't bad at all.

Mine wasn't too bad. The local (2) didn't feel great but when I felt a sting from the incision I forgot about the locals.

    Too old now.
I really wish I could have had more kids.

I'd prefer kids over losing any part of my manhood. Knives have no place near my balls!

I don’t know if its the same with guys as it is with females but I had to go through 5 doctors over the course of eight years until one approved me for the surgery because of my age, despite my personal reasoning and family lineage of deaths on both sides from cancer (including my brother). I was finally approved at 28 y/o. They usually wont do it until youre 30.. you guys have the same bs or is there like a drive-thru for your snippings?

    Drive-thru..

But the procedure is far less invasive and not nearly as dangerous as a hysterectomy.

I threw my snipping out the window on the drive home.

I will say, listen to the doc and follow the healing process. I've heard people that don't and they have issue.

Got mine done in 2017 and it's been great. No issues.

    Damn, lucky.
I didnt have a hysterectomy, just had the tubes severed. I asked them to ‘take the toys out and leave the playpen’ but she said id be on hormone and estrogen meds for the rest of my life and grow a beard so.. i opted for door #1
