Thanks, so the same sub the JBL peeps bought in the expired GB, and one of these amps: JBL 4505 or JL rd900/5 per that post? The difference between them? Newb here.

 

One is more expensive, (obviously) has more power and gives you more options. That's all I know since I'm not the expert. I do know that these amps are better than the ones the jbl guys got factory. James initially listed another jbl amp in the first group buy(expired) you'll have to dig and find it unless someone else on here can pipe up and assist .

It's only been a week since I ordered but

 

Damnit . This place makes me spend money. Ordered the doors and a local installer will dynamat all 4 doors and install speakers for 500.
Good thing I have a little cash stashed away so the wife doesn't complain

I actually ordered some 80mil sound deadening from Amazon to add a little more to my doors. I already have some CLD tile pieces, closed cell foam, mass loaded vinyl and heat reflective material on the doors but I wanna add some material to the actual panel to cut down on a couple little rattles I have.
Very exciting.

 

James’s I just hooked up the replacement sub you sent me. It’s hooked to an alpine 250 amp and kenwoood headunit. This thing BANGS! I’m 16 again. Not so sure my toddlers will be as amused as me, but I’m pumped!

 

This makes me excited. Did you order the speakers too?

Did anyone calculate the ohm load if you're running the two sets of component systems plus the two center tweeters? Asking...for a friend (me) Hahahaha. Thank you.

 

I want to purchase both dash and door speaker kits. I have a non-JBL, is it worth installing without an amp on the stock HU or should I get the amp? Where does the tweeter mount in the rear doors?

 

I think they will sound better than stock without an amp. Obviously an amp would really bring out the best in them but its not required
The tweeters are in front of the door handles on the back doors, for crewmax anyway, not sure what the answer is for DC trucks

 

I have a 2019 Limited DC. There is no tweeter in the rear. You will have to mod by cutting out your own hole if you want to mount a tweeter. Most DC guys go with coaxial speakers for the rear.

 

James will you be sending notification of shipment emails when ours ships? I'm trying to plan any work trips to where I'm at home. If that thing comes while I'm gone work will definitely not be on mind.
