I will pay $87 a month with full mount solar panels in a heart beat....
Our summer AC would run like crazy and hitting 2K usage is normal if not the norm.

Sorry but those turbines are a joke. Not because they dont work like they are supposed to, but because the federal incentives to make those do not have provisions to keep them running, only to build them. The result in southern california is that you see thousands of them in certain areas of the desert, but most of them are not working. Effing BS.

I was told that in my area there are no "producer" arrangements.

I highly recommend the PPA leases. In CA they are for 25 years, fully warrantied for the panels, the system and the roof they are installed on. While in the long run it may be cheaper to buy the system, but I am not interested in a ROI after a decade and in the meantime having to worry about issues coming up that I would be responsible to fix, plus, I dont think this will be my forever home either.

Did you hear that from Sunrun or Vivint or from a state agency? I would call the actual solar company since they administer it and profit from it.

The farm land around here is dotted by them. I believe land owners get around $1200/mo. It's a shame because it used to be beautifully dark out there and now you go out and see hundreds of blinking red lights. You also hear the occasional creak and whirring of air movement.

And I would be totally ok with that if it resulted in a lower electrical bill but thats probably a dream haha
