Sorry for the delay. I was in hospital last night, got flu. :(

Here is a pic of the whole content. Glad to know it is the v3 nozzle. The installation guide confused me because it refers to the v2 nozzle.

The molle was delivered yesterday. As I mentioned before I wanted it to install the water/meth tank.:)

While we wait for @Jego to post some progress photos after he recovers from his illness, figured I'd share what is coming up on my implementation.

    Baseline: Now running Stage 1.5

Testing: Tunes are coming along great. We had a ripper but needed to step back a bit due to time before my next trip. IATs are down. Even when towing under load for prolonged runs, they've stayed within 20* of ambient. Unloaded, coolant temps stay under 200* when in boost. Loaded, I had a spike to 212* on a prolonged 1-1.5 minute run at 0.0PSI. Towed great, but I didn't care for the spike in temps and I'll be swapping in a new factory T-stat tomorrow (last time I saw anything like this was about 20k ago when my original T-stat decided it was going to act up). A rather interesting observation is that within just a couple of seconds of hitting the water/meth settings, the coolant temps began dropping as quickly as they climbed. All testing was done on the same hills as Stage 1 testing and the scale receipt shows 15,200lbs combined. This wasn't a gentle round of testing.

Next trip: Leaving Thursday for the White Mountains of New Hampshire and then west into Vermont. Details of the journey are below with a few good climbs in the mix. The one at the very end is going to be a brutal experience for this things since it requires a merge onto a highway in the middle of a rather impressive grade. It's going to be the hardest test to date for the setup as it is a nearly 5 mile climb, from stop. Enough so I'm likely stopping to fill the water/meth tank before tackling it.

Thanks to Jesse at @TurboKits.com for putting in the long hours on working the tunes and for bailing me out with an "advance" on a new air filter! Turbos get hot. Hose clamps on/near the turbo do, too. What happens when you don't realize the "head" of a clamp is physically touching the turbo housing? Melting of the air filter flange, and AFE apparently only ships from CA and doesn't offer an expedited shipping option, so my replacements aren't arriving until Friday. Jesse's arrived today. I asked him about it yesterday. Thanks again!

It's funny how thoughts on "Performance" get skewed with MAX HP and speed and we often overlook something simple like the water meth helping to keep the whole engine cool, not just the charge air for more power! Good luck on your trip!

Nice! I'm taking a lot of notes from your experience. Thanks for sharing! I can't wait to hear from you after that 5 mile climb! These last few days I haven't been able to do anything due to the flu that my children and I had. We are getting better now. It will be impossible for me to work on my Tundra the first 2 weeks of July so I will probably ended doing the heavy part of the installation on the third week of July. In these next weeks I will focus on those things that doesn't required much downtime of my Tundra like the molle install, water/meth kit install, and the connector box relocation. Also, I have to spent time on videos editing. This is probably all I can do based on my available time before July. I need a vehicle these days more than ever due to summer vacations working from home and taking care of my 2 boys. I will post more pictures as soon as I have more.

Just 1 update for now. The new oil drain fittings were delivered today. Thanks Jesse for the update!

That's what I use. My intake tube is custom made by them with the air straightener. It should help in your case if your MAF is right after a bend.

I was telling MDL the story behind the Stage 1 kit and how we almost bailed on it a few times. At first, we couldn't even get the truck to start and idle, went round and round and round. We then bought a 3" MAF screen from MRP, quickly trimmed it and crushed it down a tad and shoved it into the turbo compressor housing outlet, just to test quick. The truck started, idled and ran almost perfect!

Keep in mind, we are stuffing a turbo, BOV, MAF sensor, water meth nozzle and Throttle body all in about a 10" stretch, so we knew we would be up against things, but the screen was 100% the deal maker for the stage 1.

One more trick, if and when you do install it for good, make sure you use rivets that DON'T leave the hole through. We also learned that the hard way on one of the first test couplers, the rivet holes were causing a boost / air leak and inaccurate MAF reading. It was slight and the truck ran fine, but you could see the weird swings in the logs. A quick wrap of the rivet holes with electrical tape cleared it right up. We then switched to "sealing blind rivets", problem solved.

If she's trying to sell it, it's a scam. That's the 2021 we did. The truck went back to stock as the customer had a family emergency and didn't have the time to allow us to finish the tuning side. I actually have that MAF piping in my office! Scam Alert!!

No, I don't think she's trying to sell. It was just an older post I came across. Impressive run on the Dyno...

Sure wish you'd have found me. I'd have let you keep it as long as needed. My exhaust would've had to go back to stock though. I still have the OEM manifolds.

Did this on my lunch break, too about an hour, maybe less! I've been wanting to do it for a while, was actually way easier than I thought. Thank god for the THIIINNN hood metal stamping. LOL. I'll get some weather stripping on the edges and eventually find and add a proper scoop.

That’s my truck so I think Jesse has to much going on because as far as I know my daughter has never talked to Jesse? I could be wrong but it is doubtful.?:)
And my wife has only seen Jesse twice.

I have not talked to your daughter, but you said she was active on facebook and posting about the truck... Either way, it's definitely not another customer with our kit, those are pics of your truck and you didn't post them...

^^^^Just wanted to keep the story straight. And yes she (my daughter is in face book) and she was posting pictures to benefit your business and to keep her friends that were interested in the know. And my wife could have gave two ???? Either way. But yes she thought it was going to be cool for it to work out. But after 5 months I could not justify leaving my truck there any longer and the wife voiced her opinion to me about that too!!HA:)

I'm curious to see how the venting works, @TurboKits.com! I was thinking I needed something to let the heat escape, not just bring in cool air, but I do suppose one requires the other.

As a small update, I got about 40 more miles of towing in today before the big trip tomorrow. No longer hills with boost, but with the new OEM thermostat installed, the truck now rides 192-196 unloaded, and 199 (on average) just cruising while towing. A 5th gear 0.0PSI incline did get me to 205, but then water meth kicked in shortly after and held it at 203. So, MAYBE the thermostat is helping? IDK yet. Will know for sure tomorrow. On this run, IATs averaged 5-10 degrees above ambient, so no complaints there.
