Yes, I'm using the standard (52mm / 2 1/16") pod for my Innovate PSB-1 gauge. Everything fit like a glove.

Whoa nice find!! Does it hold the gauge nice and tight, with the SCG1, you do push the buttons often for settings, I am assuming the gauge hold tight and doesn't move around with pressure from the buttons? Thanks for sharing, making me rethink the mounting in our truck :)

Hey guys, just built one of our high flow CT pipes for another customer. Wanted to post some pics for your viewing pleasure. This is the highest flowing up to 850HP EPA certified high flow CAT on the market

Nice. Those are the cats I've had on my s/c setup for about 20k miles. So far no issues. I blew out one of the stock cats prior.

Yep!! Only way to go... Best flowing and EPA certified, so no hassles there. The only issue is the cost...

Yeah, they released them a few years ago when the EPA was going nuts on the diesel guys. Other than California, which is it's own beast. These are 49 State and EPA certified.

It clips into the factory ac vent panel just like the stock vent and is just as secure. I push the buttons on mine quite a bit and never had an issue with it moving or being loose. Here are a few more pictures I had taken during the install. I do have the black trim rings around my ac vents which lay over the chrome ring (just wanted to call that out otherwise you'd see the chrome ring visible around the gauge pod).

We're also improving the design too, for the tundra specifically.

The tundra has some extra tabs to grab the mount (or vent body) that differ from the Tacoma, so it's a good/solid solution, but there's room for improvement there and so we'll be doing so.

YotaWerx uses ABS for ours, as heater use can get nice and hot, not to mention interior temps on hot days

The one I linked from etsy the seller confirmed he uses ASA.

Good to know! ASA is similar to ABS but exhibits better UV resistance, mechanical properties and aesthetics.

I posted it early in the thread, but this ram air hood would be PERFECT for the turbo setup. It dumps the outside air directly over the turbo!

Right! I haven't posted. Truck is alive! It's been running since Thursday night.. Just working on some baseline tune and going through the crawl/walk/runs of all of that before getting to play and report much. I popped a CEL last night, Jesse quickly found the difference between the baselines, and I'm just gathering more logs now. He can chime in if he has the cycles to add more to that report. I know he's working on one of his own projects in between working with me.

I'll write more detail later this evening

Yeah we flashed and started the truck for the first time right at the end of the day. Got some logging back and forth on Friday. Working on things now. Since the 2019 file is different from the 2014 file. We figured there would be some tweaking to get it dialed in and being the weekend. We're a little delayed with input from the tuner... More to come in due time. BFlooks can update you guys on the last parts of the install, priming the turbo, a stupid mistake on our end with a turbo fitting that burned a day and some of the normal debugging of a fresh release like this!

How much boost can the 5.7 handle?

Boost limits are more tied to fuel octane and detonation thresholds than what a motor can handle. A smaller turbo will create less air flow (HP) at the same boost level as a larger turbo. So boost becomes a bit irrelevant when picking a horsepower goal as compared to what an engine can handle. There is A LOT MORE to sizing a turbo, but setting a build solely on boost isn't really an accurate method. The limit of a motor/transmission is typically X amount of power before the stock components and the headroom in those components is overcome and things break. So far it seems like the "limit" or the best mix between reliability and power is to keep the Tundra 5.7L under 500 WHP. However, with much less data on this front from turbocharged Tundras, and more of this information coming from SC builds. We may find that the HP range ends up being higher with turbo, since were not losing the power to spin the charger. I think we are already seeing some of this, with our WHP/WTQ #s at only 4 PSI as compared to SCs are 7-8. Hope that makes sense!

The limit is more HP than boost. The general consensus I’ve read following the boosted tundra scene is about 600HP to the wheels is about the max you want to go on a stock block. For the supercharger builds, most are in the 450-470whp at base boost of 6-7 psi and there are several dynos in the 530-600whp range in the 8-10psi range. Some here for comparison on the forum.

On the topic of blower parasitic loss, it’s quantifiable and known in most cases. Looking at this chart for example, the TVS2650 spinning at the speed mine is with my pulley choice at redline (12.5k rpm) is consuming 47hp. To be adiabatically 100% efficient would be to consume 46hp so it’s doing pretty dang good. A turbo may cost less HP to provide the Increase in boost pressure, but the boost is not “free”. You’re essentially choking your exhaust and creating a lot of back pressure which reduces engine power in a different way but less directly “parasitic.” The 1.7-1.8 pressure ratio being made using 47hp with the blower, may only use 30hp to produce the same wheel hp with a turbo at the same pressure ratio. You’re making a tad more power per psi with a turbo, but let’s be real at this power/boost level it’s nothing earth shattering. Don’t get me wrong though, turbos are awesome in their own right in different ways than a supercharger. Pros and cons to each.
