    Too many…scratch that…not done yet.
That looks like the same truck they had the stage 3 SC on a couple years ago…

Anyone know if the owner is on here?
I’d love to see a video of the latest (900 hp) version hitting a few rips on the road.

I don’t event want to know what this kit costs…turbo/ IC kit, trans, new fuel pumps/ system, and motec….
    It looks legit, but damn….

Put it this way, the MOTEC alone is more than most stage 1 SC kits and definitely more than our turbo kit...

It wont be sold as a kit as originally thought. Below a certain HP goal they'll steer you to their SC builds.

Someone mentioned the truck is up for sale. I think it was their prototype test bed.

    I know….hence why I said that I’d hate to know the cost…

They have a few of the various components for sale on their site…$7K+ for the motec alone.

Thats a $150K truck I am sure. But I always say, you can sleep in a truck, but you can't drive a house.... Soooo

Yea…Even if it were a kit, I can’t see having something like that as a daily driver, IMO.

It is cool to see groups doing this though, and proving what the tundra/ 3UR platform can do.

I think for the daily/OR use, SC’ing is the best route for more hp.

I used to say that to my wife… it was funny until we almost didn’t have a house. Then it was like fiery frozen daggers coming from her eyeballs. Haha.

It’s all good. Still have a wife, a truck, and a place to sleep that isn’t a camp trailer or a neighbors couch :)

Whatever this forum told me to do
does that include the price of the donor truck? Lol

    because I’ve seen prospeed prices.

    I stopped counting at $75k

Was just throwing out a ball park, only they and the truck owner would know, but it's one heck of a build for sure, we are impressed!

Well, it’s gotta be more than their built engine e85 SC builds and the last one I saw was revealed to be a 60k package.

The proverbial putting your money where your mouth is has happened at TurboKits.com, welcome our latest addition to the family, a 2014 Limited 5.7. Hoping to have it on the DYNO in the next week or so (waiting for an open appointment) and then in for turbo surgery! We will also be doing a very limited release of the stage 1 kit where we will offer a few DIY owners a substantial rebate and / or free upgrade to the Stage 2 intercooler for self-installs and feedback on the kit so far. Anyone interested, please reach out on that front. Thanks again for the amazing support along this journey!

Do self installs require any welding of the pipes?

I would be interested but I am still trying to figure out if my skid plates would interfere with any of the new piping required for the turbo

No, not at all, one of the reasons these processes take time is that we are making this a bolt on kit, so no welding will be required :)

On the 2021 test truck that Ken let us use, he had a skid plate that protected his CATs. Looked like we would have had to trim a small portion on the passenger side where the turbo exhaust piping routed in order to get it back in place. But everything else, transmission, oil pan, etc would have all stayed protected by the plate.

Nice!!! I look forward to seeing the project(s) continue.
‘And y’all bought the fastest color, MGM…plus it’s a DC to boot! So, you’ve already gained 100 hps over stock. :anonymous:

This is true. I my MGM DC has much more horspers than all the other Crewmax's around me. Also, my camper shell is red for reduced drag. My buddy refuses to paint it for me cuz it will slow it down. Or maybe that was me that won't slow down long enough for him to paint it... Either way, HIS grey truck also has a red topper, and he also drives a race car so... must make it faster. Just another life hack..

Pretty sure the camper shell adds +27 years to drivers presumed age. At least that’s what the kids tell me. So worth it.

More progress... We got our Tundra back on the DYNO last week for some BEFORE TURBO power runs. Came in right where we would expect for a 2014 with 130K - 310WHP and 315WTQ on a Mustang (Heartbreaker) DYNO! We should be starting the installation of the Stage 1 Turbo Kit in a few days and then back to the DYNO!

*The dip is where we were able to go full throttle without a 4th to 3rd downshift.

Solid week of progress! (6) Full Kits tested directly on our shop truck, all numbered and ready for the next steps! We should be wrapping up the rest of the install on our shop truck this week (then back to the DYNO). This will ensure us that nothing has changed since Ken's truck and we can pick up where we left off :) Thanks again for all of the comments, questions and support!
