Higher fuel pressure might help bump their numbers.

Following... I have been looking at Super Chargers so I may as well look at turbo's too.
Can't wait to see the finished product.

    BACK HOME,,, Texas YAY!!:)

I could not wait any longer so after like five months to the day turbo charging this Tundra with the Stage 2 did not happen. It seemed to work with the Stage 1 and could have had him put the stage 1 back in but it did not get there with the second part? Could have had him hook up the stage 1 but opted not to do that.

I thought we were close when we talked about putting the 5 inch MAF section on but the tuner had family matters so tuning came to a grinding halt. Jesse told me he still had not heard from the tuner when I picked up the truck,,, and that would be close to two to three weeks so I am glad I made the decision to call it when I did.

I would like to think that progress was made and they were able to get much more R&D out of the deal. Jesse took care of the truck and it is all back to normal, other than that some more miles on the vehicle and one Pro headlight. He broke a tab on one headlight and he ordered a Pro which is fine because I was going to switch them out anyways,,,, some day, I just kept putting it off. When the wife saw it she told me it looks much better with the Pro! :) Sooo on our long journey home I ordered another Pro headlight and it will be here on Sunday. I went from there over to the West then straight South back home to Texas!!! Things sometime happen for a reason so maybe it was not meant to be,, five months was a long time.

I did my part for the future Turbo Charging of the Tundra truck. I would have liked to see the Stage 2 because I am sure it would have been a wild ride. :)

I think they are ready to go on the first stage so I would imagine that should be out there very soon.

Now I have a couple days of cleaning and getting the travel out of the truck, putting it back to my normal. :)

That pro speed system I am sure there is engine work and a great deal more money in that set-up. That is not a simple bolt on system. I think I read somewhere that transmission and engine work was done to that one?? Nothing 20K or more would fix er up for ya??:)

Sorry to hear it didn’t go as planned. So does this mean you could have left with it having stage 1 installed but opted not to do that?

I’m confused. 5 months without the truck and you opted to not have the turbo kit you wanted?

A simple 5” pipe and tuner away from a stage 2? Plenty of other good tuners out there to accommodate.

Any plans to get the kit installed in the future at some crazy discount or anything? I’m just curious how/hoping you were compensated for 5 months without a truck I guess. If I was without my truck for 5 months I would definitely be picking it up with some form of boost, even stage 1!

I was hoping for the Stage 2 and that is it. I do not know why another tuner wasn’t involved. I thought the tuning part took an awfully long time. I did not get the stage one and that is all there is to it. I am sure if I asked in the future MAYBE some type of deal could be made but I doubt I will be asking for that favor,, it is a long haul up there. I was able to help out someone and I hope it benefits the Tundra Nation!:) The End.

The five inch pipe was added but the tune did not and then after that about a week or two is when the tune person had other things to tend to.

Hold on. It’s Sunday and I’m tired.

So they had the truck for five months waiting for a tuner to tune the stage 2 with a larger MAF?
They couldn’t locate any tuner at all to accommodate this setup?
Now you have the truck back, stock, not turbocharged and what?
    Im very confused here.

I think most people are just a bit bewildered that someone would let a company use their truck as a test mule and get nothing out of it. Especially for 5 months of time, not a couple days. I myself am a bit confused. But it’s your truck, whatever.

Y’all are like a bunch of old women at the lunch table at a nursing home!!

warranty?? They would have to prove anything that was done was the cause of whatever happened for me to take it in to be fixed. The truck is back to 100% stock including the tune and everything is in place just like I dropped it off. The truck was taken care of at all time with zero unnecessary miles put on the vehicle.

Now for all of you that would ask the next question “ How would I know that”? I know that because I have it lojacked I have everything documented every trip/mile and every address on file that the truck went to. Everything is in place and the truck runs exactly how it did when I took it there.

It didn’t happen and that is all there is to it. The time just took way to long and I needed my truck back.

I got tired of the truck not getting tuned and there was not going to be a 6 month. Some of the delays was whether others was the tuning because it was being done remotely.

y’all have fun and have a good day!:)

Cranky old lady here. It was already tuned for a larger than stock MAF but couldn’t get to the 5” intake tune. What started as excitement for another FI platform ended up with another company that can’t get their shit together.

    Devils advocate;

I noticed you didn’t want the stage one. Why not just take that?

Also wonder why the company couldn’t source someone to tune it. I realize it’s an odd platform but still.

Im a cranky old lady and enjoy playing cards…..

Definitely some weirdness going on here. Big let down after 17 pages of buildup. I wonder if @TurboKits.com will chime in.

Stage 1 is better than stage 0. Makes me think there is something else going on that the OP is not saying. Doubt we will get the truth but proceed with caution.

If nothing else, I feel as though I've gotten my money's worth here. I've experienced excitement, confusion, more excitement, some fun conversation with my wife about turbos, reminiscing about my old 1.8T VW, even more excitement and then thorough disappointment and confusion. Thanks, everyone!

Hopefully @TurboKits.com will hop on here soon and iron some of this out.....because it makes no sense at to get you truck back without atleast the stage 1 after letting them run test in it for 5 months. Unless he didn't feel confident the kit was safe/reliable/good to use.

    2017 TRD 4x4 Harrop SC
Eibach pro 2.0s, toytec progressive mini AAL, ARE CX cap, Airlift bags, Harrop Supercharger, 650cc injectors, 77.5mm pulley, SABM, TRD Dual exhaust, Solid Offroad motor mounts, J&L catchcan, Powertrax LSD, FN BFDs with 285/75r18 Kenda R/Ts.
If I didn’t use the truck for heavy towing I’d take the stage 1 and run with it, and maybe down the line go to the stage 2. 409whp on the stage 1 probably feels great. To leave without it though, I’d be looking for $500 a month in rental/development fees for using my truck like a Guinea pig. I guess what I’m saying is, OP is a way better man than I.
