This past Tuesday (3/9/21) I heard a tink from the rear end. Got home, and started investigating.

Slapped my tacoma rims on because I had my tools out.
    20210309_071029.jpg
While swapping out drivers rear I discovered some more gnarly threads on wheel studs.
    20210309_082254.jpg 20210309_082244.jpg
Placed an order for 12 front, and 12 rear Toy OEM wheel studs.

Friday morning (3/12/21), I reached out to @Professional Hand Model regarding questions I had about adjusting the rear star wheels to get the drums off.

    Here's how that went.

Saturday, when I got home I made the necessary adjustments to my work space because the forecast was rain all weekend.

    It didn't rain a drop.

I added a clock to all these videos I made, and strung together for real time viewing without the need for "approximations" like in the day one video.

Shmancy Snowflakes looking nice! You’ll be stoked on the paint resto you did in the future for looks. Good eye on the Drum Crack. Coulda been gnar gnar.

How’d the Rubber Peel Back look on the rear cylinders?

I peeled back the boots between paint cycles. I really wasn't sure if it was supposed to be a little moist, or completely dry. Once boots were peeled back there was some moistness around the cylinders. Not necessarily wet, as in fluid running down the boot. Just moistness.

I assumed this was normal as all four boots were like this.

One day I may get OEM wheel cylinders, and drums. That's off in the future though. I'm just glad that I am not asking my MC/Booster to do things that it can't.

Yeah. I saw some moisture seeping out. Might be time for cylinder rebuild with your high miles.

Those cylinders were replaced at 313,461 miles. Guess OEM is in my future sooner than later. Is that something that can be replaceced without taking the whole drum apart?

It's okay. So, about the moisture from Dot 3? I didn't know my ass from my elbow about drums before this weekend. I'm not an expert, but I do know more now.

Moisture inside the boots is acceptable?

Maybe consult the service manual, but I think moisture and leaking are two different animals. shiny=moisture, leaking=dripping/pooling. But, shiny may be on it's way :)

Mine were dry as a bone with 160k.

The Plungers were starting to give way a little under microscopic inspections. Maybe because of lack of regular brake bleeds?

Zip-tied up my center rear bumper trim.
Almost all of the clip/tabs have broken off over the years.

Compared to just the LEDs in the housing its a world of difference for me. I drive with the tailgate up, and I could still see a good ways out with it up. That's something I've always struggled with. I used to turn my headlights off to back into the driveway, but I don't think I'll be doing that anymore. :D

I can take some in cab shots tomorrow morning if you'd like.

Installed an oxygen sensor fouler on my rearward heated oxygen sensor today.

The Go/NoGo from Fluke variety Capcom was Go as my rear sensor was still in spec at ambient temperatures.

    20210317_073908.jpg

Above picture is the "dry-fit." I removed half of the fouler, and torqued the new dorman gasket down to 14 ft.lbs on the tailgate per the FSM.
    20210317_074519.jpg

No more gap. Torqued the exhaust side of the fouler to 14 ft.lbs with a new dorman gasket also. I started the truck, and then immediately dove underneath. I felt all my new connections with my bare hands for leaks before the exhaust got too hot. No leaky leaky. :)

    received_346613683749367.jpg
    Two Gaskets are needed.
Flea-bay has removed the actual fouler I used.

    Yesterday, I did three jobs.
    1. I added an Armor-All Steering wheel cover.
    2. Added a bluetooth Adapter to my stock head unit.
    3. Reinstalled my Tool box again.
    20210411_201925.jpg

I'm loving the adapter so far. It was brought to my attention by @jimf909 in his thread.
    20210410_105926.jpg
    20210410_111404.jpg

After this picture I wrapped the bluetooth box in a shop rag, and ziptied the rag to it. I figured it would help keep additional rattling down inside the dash since I was leaving it loose.

Here's a link to the one I used which utilizes the 5×7 CD plug in the back of the radio. Turn the radio off to pause the music, and turn it back on to resume. Track UP/DOWN buttons skips forward/back. Really nice!
    Link.

I'm thoroughly impressed with the output of the running lights (white light) of just the parking lights. I reckon I could drive just on these babies!

Top picture of each set is a regular photo.
Bottom picture is a long exposure "night mode."

It's like a second set of fogs!

Circling back to this... finally got my switch box working after several different headaches, help from a lot of people here, and one of my friends IRL.

Started out with testing, and another headache. Go figure. Thanks to @Festerw, @assassin10000, and @empty_lord for the most recent ideas which prompted me to figure everything out.

^ Initial dry run just touching leads off to make sure it was all good before the final button up which was later on in the day.

I cleaned up my switch leg wiring from this.

The black wire pictured above is my HOT wire that goes on the other side of the switch to close the relay(s.) Swapping that saved me from running another wire up into the headliner.

After some more testing, and some wiring. I had something usable, but wasn't cleanly installed.

Yeah, my sun canopy is broken. I left it up during a rainstorm, and the weight of the water broke it in half. Bummer.

Added in a fuse holder at the battery. Stuck a 10 amp in there because it was all Wallace wurl had that was the larger fuses the holder calls for.

I hacked up my overhead sunglasses compartment into a usable switch mount. Drilled a hole with a step bit, and stuck the switch in. Looks pretty good.

    Here's the wiring section.

The "Pink" wire is my HOT wire from the relay box in the engine bay. White wire is the switch leg for Relay one, and the light blue wire is my "ground" so the light on my switch would work.

Here's a picture without any editing so you can look at everything there unhindered.

All that work for one little ole switch.

Here's a shot of the switch from as close to my point of view as I could get in a photograph.

I'm in a lit parking lot so you can't really see the output of the ditch lights.

    They aren't adjusted yet anyways...

I take it no more oval slots open? EDIT: I see one oval blank in the middle, any reason why you didn't want to use that for a switch?

I saw someone's center console which had 4-6 blanks in it? But maybe you have bench seats? EDIT: Yes, you have a bench up front.

What's the scoop on the passenger fender flare?

I need to read this whole thread I think... EDIT: Amazing work, massive rehab, youdaman.
