Hope GM treats you well but I'd still rather put my money on Toyota to be reliable.

I hear you. My recommendation is find a vehicle that is reliable and hold on to it like grim death. I’ve had to learn that once you get a vehicle that is problem free you hold on to it!

I think it still has the same crappy powertrain. Only way I would buy a Silverado is with the 6.2.

GMC/Silverado have so many reliability issues it's sad.

I mean, sure, it'd be nice if the dash was updated....but let's be honest. It doesn't look like crap, and I'll take reliability over looks *ANY* day of the week.

Did your story also start out with:

“Toyota owner most of my life, last August 2019 sold my 05 tundra, Never a problem with it 14 yrs... looked at the new Tundras but is still the same old design. Toyota is outdated and ripoff. Will not look at them again until they catch up to the new and real trucks. I’m putting my money’s worth elsewhere...” :D

This was the first time in 30 plus yrs I tried different brand , didn’t work for me

I don't think Toyota is outdated, they have the latest technology and innovation like all the other trucks.

The difference is, they just do not start selling their engineering samples, or while still in early beta stage. Meaning they want us to be the customer, not a beta tester.

The older Tundras had issues before with frame rust, fuel pump, cam tower leak. The 2022 Tundra has probably been in development for over 5 years. They don't want any of that to happen again.

While other MFRs, they seem not to care and have more and more issues every year they release their betas.

People say the Tundra is reliable because is so old, but it was already reliable the first year released in 2007. The cliche 'Never buy the first year of a new model' does not apply.

the trucks finally gone! Not gonna lie, felt pretty good working with the 3rd party agent - right at the same dealership where I bought It. Going through the inspection, signing paperwork, getting a fat check back, etc. The only gripes that, the sales manager who originally offered me “wholesale price” for my truck wasn’t around to see this BUYBACK take place. Would have loved to - virtually tea bag his face...slap slap slap! anyhow, I think I still did just that! By the way, the truck will be sold on an auto auction.! Has 3490 miles on it, and it’s Calvary blue. Y’all might want to keep an eye out for it lol! (Just kidding! I’d stay the hell away from that junk! Lotsa issues and not just the front differential)
