I did not but I will gladly test it when I get home this evening so that you can document it in your configuration/build list.

    Gentleman. Scholar.

It won't really tell us whether or not they'll work in conjunction with our tails specifically, but it will tell us if there is a significant difference between the XBs and OEM! Appreciate the help.

True without having the whole kit tied together since my Vleds that are installed now are independent of each other.

Next sale will "likely" begin around BF as far as Hotshot goes, but I can unfortunately assure you these won't be included. The margins just aren't there, but I want to be able to give you the chance to run these bad boys!

All good. Knew if I ordered now that I wouldn’t get them installed anytime soon. So wasn’t sure if I should wait or not.

I guess I'm the only one that opens up new truck parts like it's Christmas day and then installs them immediately, ignoring work and family until the job is done? That's normal, right?

Couldn't hurt to ask! The only thing I will say is that if you know you want to pick these up and the timing is right I suggest you do it sooner than later. Stuff isn't getting any easier to source, especially when we're limited to a single manufacturer! Never know when the floor will drop out and the line is all of a sudden 8 months long waiting on parts...

So what happens to the bulb when you put the truck in reverse with the hazards on?

Good question. I don't think I ever had to do that since I started driving. I pre ordered one anyway.

I don't know, but if I had to guess it's probably something along the lines of solid white with a snap over to orange when that signal is triggered. It's got an onboard controller, but I am not sure which it prioritizes. I suppose I can hook it up to the bench this week and see what happens though, for science.

Happy Monday everyone! Some bulbs showed up over the weekend so final testing/production is underway this week! We likely won't have any special packaging ready for them, but timelines for getting Option A shipping out the week of the 25th is still looking promising for those that are in early! We still have a few sets left for the pre-order run (5-5000k and 2-6000k to be exact) so if you're on the fence... come on over!

Also, I got the requested science experiment completed this morning. If power is fed to both terminals amber takes priority on the switchback bulbs. Additionally, there is approx 1 sec delay for the white to turn on after amber signal has stopped (if white is fed continuously).

Scenarios (I'm sure I'll be testing more for curiosity's sake) - I don't find myself or most folks under these conditions ever, but I suppose if someone runs a snow plow or a highway recovery vehicle this could be something you might not want.:
    • You're in reverse, and you kick on your hazards -
      • Hazards will turn on, and since the delay to go to white is ~1 second you will only get hazards in this scenario.
    • You have your hazards on, and put the truck into reverse -
      • Nothing will happen. The amber is the priority in the bulb's logic so it will maintain function.

Sweet! Just saw your PM too, and I'll answer everything shortly.

One of the questions you had in there that others may have is who do I use to ship? I ship "almost" exclusively UPS nowadays. Service tends to be a little slower in terms of advertised timelines and it generally costs me more, but I can more reasonably expect consistent service and good tracking for customers to follow. If someone wants/needs USPS or some other carrier though I can make that happen.

Option B, Option B lol. Unless you think Option A wouldn't look bad with my mirrors for a "different eye catching visibility" with 2 different colors :stirthepot:

Thanks. I only asked about shipping because FedEx is a black hole here in Portland. Things make it here then sit for a week or more. Package that I am expecting arrived to Portland on 10/7 and is only now out for delivery today.

That is becoming a trend here too. I had a USPS package sit for a week at the initial pickup point.

If you were really creative you'd convert the turn signals in your mirrors to amber :sawzall::stirthepot::stirthepot:

Oh. Yeah, never. Fedex is the bane of my existence. I ship wheels/tires through them. Other than that... Hard no.
