In all seriousness though the amber turn signal is quite visible even during braking events. If that helps you sleep at all.

For sure. I think we are on the same page there. The fact that the brake is lost on option B while the turn signal is on is the only visibility thing that I think either option has, and that's not really an issue.

So I'm thinking about getting a set of option A for my 2020 SR5 with TRD off-road package. It has OEM led headlights and push button start.

I've seen on a couple of posts about installing resistors to stop hyper flash?

I really like the look of the option A, but don't want to have issues with hyper flash, or any issues with keyless fob or anything else. Am I missing something or should these just work if I don't have any other electrical mods on truck?

Spend the extra 20 (I think that all the resistors cost) ans just get them up front and do the install once. I have a 2018, no leds except the drl on stock halogen headlights and I had hyperflash.

There is a harness that goes inline with the turn signal pigtail. Then the resistor module itself gets stuck to the truck body with vht 3M tape. They come with the kit now, it isn’t a separate purchase any more.

@memario1214 decided to just make them part of the kit since it was so hit or miss on who needed them in any specific config. I probably didn’t need them on mine since I already put resistors on my front signals, but the VLED ones are way nicer lol. I’ll probably remove the fronts at some point just to clean up my wiring a bit. Once it’s not 1000° outside.

I got my option A installed Thursday after I put my Valhalla shields on.
The day I got my truck back after 8 months.

I have the big VLED resistors that cover front and rear LED turn signals.
The right turn signal hyper flashed, due to a bad connection, it has happened before.

I removed it and tried the VLED resistor that came with the kit, but it is only for 1 light so it still hyperflashed.
So I reinstalled the big one and soldered the connectors on from the new resistors for a cleaner more weatherproof connection.
The old VLEDs resistor had a wiring clamp connection that I've had a couple of issues with over the years getting dirty and keeping contact.

So thank you @memario1214 for including the VLED resistors.
I didn't use the resistor, but I did use the wiring harness.

    I also ordered these today.
It's only been 3 days and I can't take the Muth red mirror signals with the amber rear turn signal..:eek2:
    Yes, I have issues..:D

@1lowlife - Did you check out the brake lights and rear turn signals at the same time in the dark? You've got to tell us what you think of them. I know you've got a little more OCD with lights than even I do. LOL.

I agree they could be brighter. At night they are good though.

I'm happy with them, but if it bugs me after a while I'll open then up and pop some new strips in. Would be a hack job but nobody will ever see it.
