Hi mark. The obd reader is a Bluetooth device that connects to the torque app on android devices. It gives all the readings from your trucks ecu that you could get if it was hooked up to the dealer and more. It gives air fuel ratio, track times, and can even give hp and tq readings. It's pretty nice.

I think it was 65 or 69 for the dongle and 5 dollars for the app

Maybe get an obd reader and see what your ethanol levels are reading. This newest tune will solve any ffv trouble.

Re read what I wrote. It will. After they flashed it, my truck felt like it had a lot of power. I'm wondering just how long my truck thought it was running e85.

Yea kinda scary. If it s running so rich, might not be the best for the engine or mpg.

No kidding. It's beyond me why Toyota decided on an algorithm to determine this rather than an ethanol sensor.

Doesnt look like it. Bummer. I will plan a day at Toyota though to get the flash for the ethanol and the recall for air injection pumps

Well, the wife is pissed at me. I spent about 5 hours detailing my truck today. I didn't even get to do the full process. I think I'm going to have to stick it in the garage for a couple days next time and take my time. She is pregnant so that may have something to do with it... Man the paint on my truck is not in good shape. Between the dealer scratching the piss out of it, a cart at Lowes scratching it and my dumb ass letting my great Danes drool sit to long on the rear of the cab, its really got some flaws now. Today I washed it, used a mitt that is the clay bars alternative (which worked wonders), the first stage of polishing and the final step of sealant. It looks better than it has when I first got it, but I think I am going to order the compounding stuff that you use for serious blemishes. And next time I'll use the fine polish step that I didn't get to. What I did today will be good enough for it to last until spring though. I'm very picky so I see every flaw, but it really does look good now.

Congrats on the new kiddo coming...

You'll love this, I spent 2 days (off and on - truck was in the garage) wash/clay-bar/wash/2 coats of wax...right...my GF helped me wax the truck.

I let her drive when I drink too much :drunk: she likes driving the truck.
