They mentioned that it was a 2017. Also if you look around on the inter webs I think the tundra may have been the test truck for Icon’s S2 setup. They look the same

I agree. I love that show and have watched every episode. The course is tough no doubt but most of the damage is caused by people who don't know how to off-road or by driving too aggressively. Also some of the trucks shouldn't be there in the first place. A well built truck driven well could make it through that course with little or no damage and IIRC, a few have.

I think a well built Tundra could dominate that course. Start with a 2nd gen RCSB, enough lift and body mods to run a 38" tire (maybe even a 40"?), lockers, winch, snorkle kit and armor. Then maybe a SC just to make it a little more fun! :curls: lol

They said it was a 2018 and then they asked Kyle he also said it was a 2018.

Mistakes like that doesn't surprise me. You can pretty much bet that not all of the film/production crew are car/truck people and it shows.

I don't know if you all caught this but when Kurt was staged to run the Green Hell, they kept showing Kyle's Tundra on top of the starting hill even through they were talking about Kurt's Raptor.

I doubt Kyle had a clue about the Tundra because I doubt it's his. It was probably just loaned to him for the show? That is definitely a '16 or '17 based on the grill

    Side note:

The girl in the dodge did well until it was time to back up a trailer lol but was it just me or did her sob story about her needing the money for a down payment on a house because of here family of 5 was living in an apartment seem lame?

I mean, I get the need for a house but that being the case, sell your off-road toy that you don't need instead of thrashing it on Truck night! I'm sorry but when you are a parent, the kids come first and if you can't afford a decent place to live then you can't afford expensive toys like that truck. Just my $.02 on it

Yeah I noticed the tundra when they meant to show the raptor, I thought that was pretty funny haha.

The story was pretty lame, and I agree with selling the off-road toys. Some people just don’t have their priorities straight. Also, there are tons of house buying assistance programs that you can apply for and they will help you with your down/closing costs.

    Definitely not a 2018 cluster.

    Not nearly enough room here!
The 4.6 V8 is rated at 315 hp. The 5.7 was always 381.

I think Kyle would’ve broke the raptor. He definitely needs to be driving a tundra. Funny watching their two driving styles. Kurt tends to drive like he wants his stuff to last. Kyle just sends it and hopes his equipment keeps up.

Am I the only one that thinks the Swamp is stupid. I think I have only ever seen one truck get through the swamp without a winch. Why bother, it is supposed to be about the truck. If you have to winch what are you proving? At that point the truck has nothing to do with your success or failure.

I think I'm going to have to disagree.

    1. What kind of serious 4x4 course doesn't have deep mud and/or at least one section that you might have to winch out of?

    2. Its not just about the truck, its just as much about the driver's skills and 1 thing all 4 wheelers need to know is how to winch.

    3. Even if it was just about the truck, a truck with a lot of power, full lockers and serious mud tires like the super swampers (or tractor tires like that one guy had) will have a much better chance of getting though the swamp without winching then lower powered trucks with open diffs and less aggressive tires. I believe vehicle weight plays into it as well.

I think the fact that so many competitors get stuck in the swamp just shows how important that section of the course is.

    Just my $.02 on it
