Bring on the Tundra! Looks like no winch mounted though which means it wont survive the mud.

So far I think I saw 2 trucks make it through the mud without winching. Really doubt a Tundra would make it.

I hope the show covers some repair bills. I think they should have different classes, maybe gas/diesel and street legal/trailered in.

we should host the spin off from that show and call it mall night in America. show casing some of the fiercest modded urban assault trucks vs speed bumps, curbs, the carwash, stop n go traffic and everyone's favorite; the parallel park...

the winner gets a mega millions ticket, a bag of micro fibers and a basket with soaps and a foam cannon.

It wasn't a head on collision.

Pete and daughters were down in San Felipe for a race the next day (Saturday) and was supposed to be his daughter Farrah's first race. They had left tech inspection and were in the dunes south of town when another UTV, driven by an American, came off the highway and T-boned Pete's UTV in the drivers door at about 60-65mph. That guy was not wearing seatbelt and was ejected and was DOA. Pete was killed instantly. Snapped his neck from what I've heard. The daughters sustained some serious but stable injuries and were driven back to the states in an ambulance.

No one was wearing a helmet.

There's a Gofundme for his family:

I'd met Pete few times over the years at the races. Always spoke his mind and very straight forward. Never minced his words. Ruffled many feathers as well.

If the water didn't get him,the mud would have with those open diffs. Even the raptor had to use his winch and he had lockers front and rear! I was impressed with the girl driving the dodge, she did good.:mudding:

Always DVR the show. Just watched with my sons. That was a fun episode.

Agree though, I think people are nuts to go on the show with the damage the trucks take. I would pay to have a few hours on that course though :)

Much of the damage that they get is because they are racing through the course. If you drove carefully, then you probably wouldn’t get as much damage. For example, I wouldn’t be launching my truck in the air. :)

Looks like Kyle’s Tundra had Icon 3.0’s with secondaries. That was actually the fastest I’ve seen anyone run the Green Hell. Too bad he didn’t listen to the only advice given to him. Don’t go into the water too fast.

They said that was a 2018 Tundra.....no TSS or LED daytime running lights.
    I'm thinking a 2017.

Why did they say the Tundra had 315 hp? Is that a 4.7? 5.7 is something like 384 hp I thought.

It had the 5.7 badges. Ford paid them to say that :D
I DVR the show - it’s pretty kickass.

Super sad about Pistol Pete. :(

The Tundra did pretty kickass. Too bad he didn’t come into the water slower. He mobbed the shit out of the Tundra lol

I wish the show pay the people to attend. Some of those people spend years building their rigs just to destroy them for 5 seconds of fame.:spending:
