I have a 2006 Toyota Tundra, Limited, 4.7L, Extended Cab. Searching for bed rail molding for the truck to replace the factory molding as they have faded badly. Can anyone point me in the direction of locating the molding?

The price on replacements for the original - which are not black, they're charcoal grey - is expensive. I know Bak had some alternate products, as did Westin, but they're in short supply, or being sold out of warehouses that managed to snag up old stock.

I had great luck getting mine back to the original dark-dark grey color using Griot's products. That came after testing a shedload of other typical products from Mothers and others, which didn't work with a damn.

If you end up refurbishing and not replacing, I’ve had good results and longevity spray painting them. You can do original grays or more black color. I’ve used normal spray paint and also more specialized like SEM Trim Black. I can send pictures if you want. Can’t get a good one now in the dark.

A lot of detailers will tell you Solution Finish is a good trim restorer. You will see a lot of people recommend Cerakote. I’m wary of that one (despite good reviews) because if prep or application has any issues, you can end up with a finish that is difficult to remove.
