I paid $372cdn at the dealer which is close to the US priced bars. I think maybe @YYCDCLTD has a new one for sale.

I LOVED my Hellwig rear sway bar but the Icon RXT rear leafs interfered ao I had to pull it. Got mine up for sale in Arizona

It is all personal preference and how you use your truck. I liked the Hellwig better than Toyota's TRD (the only one they make for the rear) because the bar is thicker, not a "HEY LOOK AT ME" red color and it is adjustable from 2"-4" lifts. They are pricey ($391.94 + shipping) but in my opinion you get what you pay for. Hate to get rid of mine but it rubs on the after market rear leaf springs

I will let others comment because I have not had a stock TRD on a lift 4" before

So it seems like everyone LOVES the rear bar, but I'm seeing some people mention it means less roll/articulation when off-roading which is NOT great. So for someone like me who off roads a few hours a year, seems worth it anyway!

I had posted up before for the ones that say it limits your articulation to post up some numbers with the sway bar on and with it off to see how much the articulation is effected. I had 37" tires on a LandCruiser and when I put it on the mounting location for the brackets were modified to bring the sway bar down to where it needed to be with the new lift. We did the before and after measurements and the difference was barely 1". I think the problem with people that say the bar prohibits the articulation is that they are using a sway bar made for a stock height truck that is put on a truck with a lift. I also suspect there was no modification to alter the mounting to lower the bar where it needs to go. Just my opinion...

Whether or not it affects articulation, seems like another issue offroad is the suspension on one side of the truck being able to take a bump without being tied to the other side. I understand the axle is solid unlike the front, however it can pivot

As I said it is all personal preference, some like driving with the windows down some do not. I hope you decide on what you need and hopefully someone will have a setup similar to what you are wanting to do so you can feel it first.

FWIIW This is a pic of me driving my LandCruiser through the Wedgie at Moab. The rig has stock sway bars in front and rear

You're saying the trd sway bar is for a stock truck only? That's weird. Based on the pic above that land cruiser (assuming it has at least some lift) is killing it with that bar in place.

I just installed the TRD rear sway bar. I like how the drive feels with it. I'll be taking the truck offroading next weekend, but I doubt I'll be going crazy enough where I'll notice a loss of articulation because of the sway bar.

I'm thinking of putting the TRD sway bar on my truck. I have a Limited DC TRD off road. How does it effect ride quality?

It has zero impact on ride quality.
The sole purpose of the sway bars are to keep the vehicle flat and stable during cornering.

If you take in consideration what goes into the Engineering of designing a sway bar when the truck is lifted the dynamics change. The reason the LandCruiser is killing it is because when I put the lift on I also modified the mounting points of the sway bars to move them in a position to perform more like the stock ride.

The beauty in the Hellwig sway bar is that it comes adjustable and covers from 2”-4” lift

You can see in this pic the adjustable links on the side and also the 3 holes at the end of the sway bar for a soft, medium and firm ride adjustments

So not just extended links, on your landcruiser @azTony did you lower the frame mounts to compensate for lift?

Can you use a Hellwig for a stock height truck or will it only work on a lifted truck? Also, when they say 2-4" lifts, are they referring to the front or the rear?

OK, just sent them a message. We'll see what they say. I'm just not a huge fan of the red TRD bar. Seems like a silly thing to attract attention to with red paint. lol

It was a sale Toyota did awhile back on TRD stuff. People still talk about it though. Not sure if they will do anything for Black Friday this year.
