    Curse you Perry the Platypus!
I say all aftermarket exhausts are just for sound but some do offer a slight power/performance increase. I've had several brands over the years and TRD is my favorite. The Tundra system in particular is a great design. A less restrictive exhaust does reduce back pressure which gets a little more power out of the engine but I guess not enough for Toyota to report it or else they would advertise the PRO with higher numbers. I have 0 regrets getting mine. If you do not like the sound of it, then go @dirtydeeds all the way. Keith is a stand up guy that makes a top-notch product. I would have gone with him hands down if I didn't have my heart set on the TRD system.

K&N cold air intake, TRD dual exhaust, chrome removal interior/exterior.
I installed the K&N cold air intake and the TRD dual exhaust on mine. Gas mileage has improved and I love the sound. Earlier this summer went on a 1,400 mile road trip and it was fine. When I tow my 4,500lb camper is does get a bit loud on inclines.

I haven’t had a lot of experience with other exhaust systems but I love my TRD dual exhaust. I think it provides a great balance of feel and sound to the truck without it being too loud. Some people will get the loudest exhaust systems then complain two months down the road when they want to take a long road trip because there’s too much drone and it’s loud when you drive.

My son-in-law has tried Borla, Magnaflow and Corsa...I didn't care for any on the Tundra...Too much drone for me. I had some Flowmasters on one of my Tundra's and took the resonators off to reduce the drone. That worked well. My top choice is the stock duals on my TRD PRO!
