For fun I got the OBD reader and Fusion App. So far driving about town I have seen nothing alarming. Next time out with the boat running the highway at 75mph I'll see what's up.

Maybe someone accidentally uploaded a version without all the final edits ?

How do you get the green trim around the gear lock guage? Also, it is the PID "status of the lock up"?

Yeah that’s the PID. It’s on the tab for edit display, range. Set the value from 0-1 F66FEFC0-C84C-40C7-BB84-3ECE2E54F42D.jpgEEE75412-E5C5-45E5-8C72-49C22EF8D7BC.jpg

Super excited the trans cooler goes on this week with 7000 miles in it. I’m getting new tires and my cap. Christmas came early boys. So excited

I can't edit my gauge, which I am assuming is a circular and not digital?

Tfl were supposed to release the towing episode today , nothing yet . Honestly I watched the one they released last week and removed and didn't look it needed any editing . Wonder if they were asked to remove it

I spoke with Andre tonight, he said they're adding some additional information to it and will be putting the video up then. I'm wondering if they've reached out to Toyota engineers with their data and are waiting for a response?

Mr truck was with Andre and he said it was too high and wouldn't feel comfortable with it . They got 246 and that was on pan I think ( they didn't mention ) . If I remember the Chevy was 210 or so

246 for tundra, and they were monitoring pan temp. GM was ~214 if I remember. Kent was betting it wouldn’t go over 210, and it did.

Hopefully Toyota gives some response or direction. Probably waiting for their lawyers to vet it out so they don't get sued if these transmissions start failing.

The overheat light on my 2010 would come on around 245/250.

I think the most that would ever come of Toyota admitting any fault with this would be them extending the warranty out to 125k miles or something. Maybe not even that much

Or offer a cooler installation package .anyhow on one of tundradude34 I believe , Mike sweers mentioned in response to the missing cooler questions that they tested their temp and it was 20% less then competition, I would love him to explain to us how 246 is 20% less then Chevy 214 for the same test

Only downfall to cooler is cost. Thermostat allows fluid to warm to 188f then maintain between 188 and 194. Extremely stable. Real boring.

Yep, I'm not looking at the temps until I get a bonus, then buy the cooler. I don't tow but I drive hard and I drive mountains and I'll probably keep this truck for 10+ years.

No TFL video yet, definitively fishy. Thanks to the few that have contacted them.

I reached out to tfl and Zach replied back and told me that Andre went on vacation and video still being edited and to rest assured it will be published.
Video was done last week and didn't need any editing, something is not adding up , not sure if Toyota asked them to take it down , don't blame tfl , they are already on the ford No list , probably they don't want to risk the same with Toyota

Yeah , I think they are the only one though that tested the towing and published temp
They published spy videos about the bronco before it was released , ford asked them to remove it and they did not , they got uninvited to bronco and f150 release and they are on the no list

    Thanks!

Oh boy, talk about being sensitive huh!

I could see Toyota asking them to remove this one then, Although I wouldn't have tought a car manufacturer would do that.

TFL 100% needs to post this video. They are car journalist and this is what journalist do. They do they test and give a 3rd party unbiased analysis. I’m going to be really mad if they don’t post it.
